Location

The apartment hotel lies just 150 m from the beach. Quietly situated in the tourist area, the town centre is only a few minutes walk away. Restaurants, shops, nightclubs and bars are to be found 800 m away. Public transport departs from stops in the immediate vicinity (200 m). The nearest large town, Chiclana, is around 7 km from the hotel.

    Lovely location and Staff but not the rooms

    We stayed for one night and the check in was ok but only one person checking in (was a large que later on. The location is great with a large pool and no issues getting a sunbed, unlike the bar which also serves food with a que of 30 people and only one stressed bar person! The rooms are ok and look like they have been done up recently but basics have been missed: very old dirty Ac units, Cracked tiles in the bathroom, cracked plug in the sink, dirty old light switches and door fittings missing.They have new kettles which are impossible to work out how to use them (instructions would help) A nice welcome letter that said there was something in the fridge to celebrate (but there was nothing)That said the staff are great as well as the location.

    Check in 5/5Really friendly lady and smooth check in experience. Parking was an issue and we arrived off peak. Rooms 4/5Lovely spacious rooms and really good value for money. A little tired but beds are comfortable Bar 2/5Really understaffed at lunchtime that we gave up ordering drinks and food Restaurant 3/5Lunch opens too late at 1330 food buffet has a good selection. Can’t really complain. Staff are super niceNearby beach 5/5The most amazing thing was the nearby beach. It’s shame the hotel does not have a bar and sun loungers by the beach it would be amazing if they did. We had to use neighbouring hotels facilities at the beach Security 0/5 The back gate to the beach is broken and open all hours. Being on ground floor near that beach exit I isn’t feel safe and that I could leave items on balcony drying. Overall for the price we paid we can’t complain. Peak season I would avoid.

    What a load of hassle

    I have never ever had a bad stay at Melia chain until I arrived at this hotelOn arrival there was no parking. Had to park 20 minutes away and as I was alone reception told me couldn’t keep bags whilst found parking. So in the blazing heat lug all the bags to the hotel. On arrival on hotel told me the room was not ready which was fair enough. I asked if I could use pool and did they have a towel. The answer was No again. So I had to take all my bags, had to swim as it was so hot and then use my clothes to dry myself. Beachside there are no loungers for this hotel. The other hotels next to this one provide it for their guests. Paying over 200 a night I expected more. I will never stay here again

    Good apts by the beach

    Well maintained apts by a big beach. Complex is good.Buildings are low rise but the area is very built up and you probably need a car (which we did have). We didn't book bed and breakfast and there was no where open to get breakfast out within walking distance.....unusually in my experience.
