    Nice hotel with good location

    Visit very outside season, with friends. Lived on ground floor which was great as we had easy access to meet. Nice and tidy outside area. A bit worn on the inside. Reception helpful and effective.. Close to beach with a nice beach bar. The beach has pebbles and is quite nice.

    I just back from this amazing place.the beach are lovely and plenty of beautiful places to see around.I want to say many thanks to the manager of reception Manoly and Sikender Ali for worm welcome and help organize transport to the supermarket without charge,and short trip to the Romans Bath what was absolutely fantastic. Big thank you to Ali for a lovely cooked breakfast and for dropping me to the Gibraltar airport because my transfer from company Suntransfers never show up !!!!Me and my 4 years old son had a great time and will return to the Don Juan for sure.

    CLEAN, WELL PRESENTED WITH GREAT STAFF

    Our stay was the last week April, first week May. The service from Reception was second to none. Manilo and Stephanie were utterly charming and impressive. Manilo is on duty until 21:00 each night and really doesn't hesitate to go beyond the call of duty. I don’t know the name of the blonde lady cleaning our studio apartment but she did a very good job. The outdoor pools and it’s surrounding grass area were kept to perfection. We didn’t make it to the indoor pool. My only negative would be the ‘acoustics’. There is a lot of noise/sound transfer between the apartments, especially noticeable during the night (obviously!)Manilva is very nice, though it turned out to be a little too quiet for us. That said, we were early season. The food in the harbour restaurants - which is a lovely brisk 20 minute walk along the promenade - was average and became monotonous.Great, chilled restaurant with good vibes and fresh food literally one minute's walk down to the beach from the Don Juan. Walk down that same road from the Apartments and turn right and you enter a nature reserve which is so tranquil. Keep walking for about 20 minutes and you'll come across a great restaurant. A very basic building, good food, very busy after 15:00 and, again, on the beach. We imagine only open lunchtimes - though we don't know.

    Stayed here recently. Had treated my wife for a 3 night break in the sun. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Staff couldn't do enough for us and the Manageress was very friendly. All in all a short but wonderful stay.     We stayed in a studio which was clean and had a fully equipped kitchen. It was small and all the space was utilised. The pool area was well kept. The indoor pool was not open which was partly why we booked this as we knew, in October the outdoor pool would be cold, so a little disappointed. The apartments are right on the beach which was beautiful. A cafe/bar is on the beach which was ok. The staff were very helpful and friendly in the apartments and it was quiet secure. We didn't use the car park facility as there was plenty of on road parking. The only downside was the smell of the drug skunk when sitting by the pool that must of come across from a neighbouring property.
