  Bakour Oh Nice.

  What makes this hotel special is the animacion team, especially Oscar, Melissa and Alberto who kept the energy levels up throughout the week. Accommodation is simple, clean but what was surprising was its size, with a separate bedroom. Location-wise, not the best [a 20m walk to the mainroad] but a taxi into nearby Estepona is c.€20.

  Lovely clean hotel with a great pool. 10 min walk to the beach and supermarkets but that suited us as quiet location. It is on top of a hill though. All staff were really friendly. Only downside was the occasional English guests that shouted and swore loudly across the pool and swearing kids (Obviously taken out of school as I purposely avoided school holidays) . Our room was also over the main entrance and I really didnt appreciate being woke up after 1.30 am every night by kids and drunk noisy adults. This really spoiled this for me. I had thought reception would have intervened.Food also cold regularly so ended up using the microwave in the restaurant a lot. With all this said, we would go back but not near the school holidays for me due to the parenting skills of the clientel it attracted.   We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel.Unfortunately, it is located 2.4 km from the beach.The hotel dates back to the 1990s, but it is still well maintained.It features an outdoor pool as well as an indoor spa.However, the breakfast was very disappointing.The products offered were of poor quality.The juices seemed to be powdered mixes diluted with water, and the coffee was just as bad.We did not have dinner at the hotel, but judging by the quality of the breakfast, we assume the food quality is probably the same.   Excellent value for money – Amazing entertainment team!

  Absolutely excellent hotel for the price – plenty of value for money.​We were three friends staying at the hotel and had five wonderful days.​The All-Inclusive selection at the bar is quite reasonable (though not overwhelming, and some drinks require a small surcharge at a discounted price). There is also a nice little snack bar by the pool where you can order pizza, burgers, and fries.​The room was quite large and was cleaned well every day. The location in Estepona is actually quite good. Yes, it’s a bit away from everything, but still only a 20-minute walk to the nearest supermarket (Lidl) and a short 15-minute taxi ride to Puerto Banus/Marbella.​The staff were all extremely friendly – from reception to housekeeping and the bartenders. However, the Animation team deserves a special mention – especially Oscar and the other guy (sorry, I didn’t catch your name!). They had incredible energy and always made sure the atmosphere was great. Those two alone are a reason to stay at this hotel.​The hotel is just missing that "final touch," and the reasons we aren’t giving a full 5-star rating are:​- The selection in the buffet restaurant could be better and more varied. Lunch, in particular, was a bit limited.- ​No hand sanitizer available in the buffet restaurant.- ​The bar didn't have everything on the menu (e.g., gluten-free beer and Long Island Ice Tea).​- The indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were not very warm.​- The walls were paper thin, so it is not ideal if you are a light sleeper.​It should be noted that we visited during the off-peak season. I could imagine the hotel getting very crowded at full capacity, but that is purely an assumption.​Don’t expect fine dining or a luxury resort. But if you need an affordable holiday with plenty of value for your money, this is an obvious choice – especially because of Oscar and the rest of the Animation team.​We certainly wouldn't rule out coming back!
