    Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was in a great location, quiet but just a 2 minute walk from the beach and a long street full of great restaurants / bars. The hotel was clean, room was very spacious, bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and sunbeds were also really nice and very clean. Would have given 5 stars but the breakfast let it down a bit. Just felt the choice / standard of food could have been a bit better and the breakfast room itself was a bit tired looking.     Good value - don't get the food

    Lovely decor, rooms clean, great accessibility for wheelchair users. I will say however there are no shelves or cupboards to put any of your items in the bathrooms - just a very small sink space. There is a coffeepod machine in the room - nothing else and they not replace the coffee pods when clean (2)The food for breakfast - coffee machine is good and choice of alternative milks - overall a small selection of food but it is enough - the cold items fine, the warm like churros and pastries are very nice BUT the hot food is terrible. Also slow to refill and was told they would not be refilling - with over an hour to finish..Also one day there was what tasted like burnt plastic (chemical taste, very strong) in the scrambled eggs - there was a small language barrier with the restaurant lady - but she knew something was wrong with them - said sorry and shouted at the staff behind the door.. BUT did not remove the eggs... So I went up to reception after warning others for better communication and I have an okay level spanish - the woman was so rude and tried to defend leaving the eggs there - blamed it on my spanish - which I checked with my spanish speaking friends. Also started saying they don't use plastic so I can't be right - okay maybe it isn't plastic but it really isnt the point - she had an awful attitude - I don't know why she was arguing with me - just believe me and remove the eggs - simple.     Very central to La Carihuela area right around corner from beach. 24 hour reception so travelling solo had piece of mind. Good value for money. Spotless clean, towels changed every day without asking.
