    Needs some serious alterations.

    rating24 May 2025

Having just come home from a week's stay at the hotel Cassandra I thought it was best to write a recent honest review seen as their isn't one since 8 years ago by the looks of reading other reviews of the place. The hotel has probably seen better days over the years but certainly not now. It's very tired and run down. The decor is just something else, really needs to be seen to be believed. Their is minimal cleanliness, the housekeeping just did not happen. No fresh towels, no replenished toilet rolls in the room, no swept floors so were constantly walking dirty feet everywhere. Air conditioning in the room was not working. TVs in the rooms are pointless their is no english channels only sky news, so unless you speak spanish, or german dont bother paying a 15 euro deposit for the TV remote. Showering was virtually impossible due to either freezing cold water or boiling hot, no amount of adjustment could rectify this so was regularly scolded. The beds are very uncomfortable with rock hard mattress on them, if you suffer with your back these will do you no favors, dont plan on getting a good nights sleep, put it that way.Security of the room wasn't very good, the door did not lock properly from the inside, when we asked what was wrong we were just told to wiggle the key to get it to work and hope for the best!!!!!! Not ideal. Our room had a balcony that looked directly onto other buildings at the back. The balcony rail was very rickety and felt very unsturdy to the point where I was scared to even hold onto, touch it or even lean on it. Very unsafe. When viewing the photos of this hotel it all looks very nice. To say it's misleading is an understatement. The pictures of the pool make it look like it's paradise, don't be fooled. The pool area is on looked on all 4 sides by other hotels which are extremely close so these do not allow the pool area to get any sun onto it at all, their were minimal amount of sun loungers all of which are in the shade making it not an option to have a lazy pool day soaking up the sun to be able to do this you need to go to the beach.During our stay we had breakfast included. Absolutely shocking is the words I am going to use to describe the food on offer. Very poor standard. If your a lover of toast on a morning with your coffee that's your best option, steer clear of the butter though it tasted like it had gone off at the beginning of the year!!! At least it was a nice coffee from the machine but then again it takes alot to fluff that one up really. The hotel bar and cafe was never open, never anyone in their serving not made to look open to even tempt you to want to go in, no lights ever on. It literally was just a room. All in all the hotel in my eyes needs some work doing to improve the over all stay and experience for it's guests.

Great Hotel despite the poor reviews

    rating26 Aug 2016

Myself and my brother were a little hesitant at visiting this hotel after reading the poor reviews; however since arrival on Wednesday we have yet to see any of the poor reviews actually make any sense. The staff have been very helpful, rooms have been cleaned everyday, all the holiday makers having a great time out at the pool including children. The hotel is well worth the money and will definitely look at staying here again if we return.
