This hotel is located at the heart of Fuengirola's tourist centre, separated from the sandy beach by just a narrow street and a few minutes from the resort's centre.     Food let down this gem of a hotel

    We have been visiting this hotel for many years, so it’s clear I really value the property, its location, cleanliness, and the staff, who are second to none. Unfortunately, this year the food was inedible. I appreciate that it is a three-star hotel and do not expect five-star cuisine, but this year the food was sub-standard at least in terms of both choice and quality, and on some occasions we left the restaurant unable to find anything suitable to eat. It is such a shame, and I will certainly have to reconsider whether I would visit this hotel again in the future.

    We had a lovely stay at this hotel for a long weekend for my partner’s 70th birthday! Jesus from reception was brilliant and organised an upgrade to the room so we had a sea view and a bottle of bubbly on my partner’s birthday. Delivered by a smartly dressed waiter with Ice bucket and flute glasses. Then in the evening a cake in the restaurant. We have been to this hotel before and the rooms are comfortable. A very powerful shower in the bathroom. It’s positioned right on the sea front and never a problem to get a sunbed. Food could sometimes do with being a bit hotter but always a good range of food to eat. The bar also has a good range of all inclusive drinks. You also have a bus stop outside the hotel and the train station is 10 minutes walk away. Wouldn’t hesitate to return

    This hotel is in a great location, on the beach. It was a bargain holiday, for what we paid. Food was OK, we found something every time. Mexican night was tasty. Drinks are not topshelf, apart from beer- San Miguel, but all ok. The hotel grounds are beautifully looked after and staff were lovely. The hotel is old, you can see in the decore in rooms, beds were very comfy. No hairdryer, kettle or fridge in room.     Overall good hotel, very clean, comfortable beds, lovely staff. Could always find something to eat for breakfast and lunch, great breads and salad selection. Son loved snack bar. Having read negative reviews on hot food, we ate out most nights, lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Entertainment staff did a great job. Whilst on the outskirts of resort, bus and trains nearby and lovely walk along tge front to the main part of the resort.     Hotel is spotless and staff are greatRooms basic but perfectly acceptable we had top floor with a great Seaview Beds comfortable But beware the cheap plastic seat on balcony are death traps two broke with me sitting on them and I'm not fatFood although tasty for some reason only known to management is always and I mean always cold so much so that there are microwaves to heat up once plated Hotel just a short walk to the beachWould we return certainly But hopefully hot food if we do dirgardenia, at Globales Gardenia, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback and rating.We will follow up on your comment regarding the food temperature, but we are unsure why you mentioned it. We perform temperature checks, and they consistently register within the parameters set by the Health Department. The only explanation I can think of is that sometimes customers leave their hot food on the table and then go to get their drinks or bread, during which time the food cools down. We recommend serving drinks and cold dishes first, and then, once you have your hot food, you can sit down to eat with everything you need at the table.We hope this is what happened, but as I mentioned, we will look into it.Thank you very much and best regards.
