This beach hotel is located within metres of the sea and the nearest beautiful warm sandy beach. Public transport is to be found in the surrounding area (100 m).     Tranquility, peace two km from the beach

    It is an extraordinary, unique estate, swimming pools and wonderful surroundings, old houses but comfortable and clean. Direct access to the Well of Friars on foot, is next to the Village, a huge farm to walk, hundreds of olive trees and other trees, pet friendly and well treated by the owner.     UNICO, I haven't found a better place to come with my family. It's like you're in your own cortijo. Full of olive trees, in the center of town, I will never forget the baths in the pool by moonlight and stars. Freedom, Comfort, Peaceful Mood.     This farmhouse is quite beautiful and clearly a place that stands out from others. However, the house does not measure up to the precinct. The air conditioners do not work well, no fans served in the house. When the wifi arrived it was not going. One rule that didn’t make much sense is that there could be no music at any time of the day. Is any music bad?A relatively good thing was that there was a barbecue, but it was dirty and not in the best condition. It's a place with potential, I think it can get better.     overprice, basic dirty rural houses with no much charm

    we stayed with a group of friends this summer, we rented three houses and were really disappointed on the condition of the different cortijos we rented and the facilities and the estate/grounds in general. The cleanliness of the accommodation was very poor, lots of dust and cob webs underneath beds and furniture. The kitchens and toilets were really old, dirty and basic. The towels they provided were very old and thin. The sheets had been washed a thousand times are were rough. The mattresses and pillows were very old and distorted. If the price had been cheaper perhaps we would have accepted this conditions as part of low key accomodation, but for the price we paid ie. €2100 exc VAT per week for 1 two-bedroom cortijo in El Pozo de los Frailes which is not even in San Jose (usually this location is much cheaper than any apartment in San Jose). For this price you would expect air conditioning, new bedding and modern kitchen and bathroom not to mention clean swimming pools and sun beds.There was no dishwasherand some of the TVs were very old with dirty remote controls and not signal!!Some of the houses do not have air conditioning which it is essential in August. Because of the mosquitos and insects you cannot open the windows and getting to sleep at night was impossible! Again on this price tag you would expect all the accommodation available within the complex to have air con.We also find the staff very unprofessional, on our last day when we were packing in the morning one of the muslim maids they employed just came in without knocking on the door and went upstairs, we had all our valuables scattered over the rooms and there were children sleeping. I will strongly recommend to look elsewhere as I am sure for this price or less you can rent out a luxury 4 bedroom modern villa in San Jose or Las Negras with a private and clean swimmingpool, modern facilities and appliances.
