    A very nice hotel central to everything. The room amenities are sparse. You should ask for extra hangers. The food is cafeteria style. If you spend some time deciding what you like and observe when it is put out fresh you shouldn't be disappointed. The salad bar choices are excellent as is the cheese selection. The paella is good when it comes out. Act fast.Pool is very nice. The Hotel bar has happy hour from 6 to 7pm and entertainment. Be sure to tip.The bar tenders work hard and deserve it.

    We stayed for one week at the Ocean House & timed this with a trip my parents were taking as they have been visiting the hotel & this coast for a long time now! The staff couldn't do enough for us. ( we are a couple with an 18m old ) The hotel is accessible for buggy’s etc. I highly recommend the premier room as the facilities were great & felt just like home comforts. We selected bed breakfast as our board basis & the food was a vast selection & lovely tasting! The hotel has a great location with a lovely pool! (Slightly cold this time of year though!) our view was the port and some do prefer pool view but this didn’t matter to us!! We spoke to many guests who have also been holidaying here for many years so the proof is in the pudding! The rooftop pool is exclusively adults only & is great, we did see this for a short time without our little one and recommend this experience to anyone else who can enjoy it! Entertainment here is a different class, great to enjoy poolside at the play bar aswell! Thank you Ocean House, see you again! Una Más 😀

    BEWARE OF THE SAFETY ISSUES

    We’d spent time at Ocean House in 2024 so decided to return for a three week escape this winter. The location is fantastic, one of the main reasons for our return. The hotel rooms are tired, however, there are other concerns that need to be addressed. We paid a premium price for the view and added incentives, i.e. daily stocked mini bar and use of the Premium Lounge among others. Nightly turn-down service was part of our package and although this only happened five evenings out of our twenty one nights this wasn’t a big deal. Water pressure in the shower is poor; temperature fluctuation is dangerous, one second perfect then boiling hot or cold. This can be dangerous and the risk of scalding is always there. The clientele, especially during the off season, is mostly seniors. The showers have no grab bars, after cleaning the shower base is slippery. One of us fell on this visit with minimal injuries, however, we have heard of many falls that have resulted in hospital visits. The location still remains the top incentive for booking this hotel, just be aware of the safety issues and remember Ocean House is not a 5 star hotel.

    Very clean, good location and close to public buses. Nice buffet with large assortment but gets jammed at peak times. Three pools (one of which is heated) and large pool area. Despite rules of not reserving chairs, people do it which is very annoying. Laundry is a challenge so be prepared. Staff is fairly attentive and issues are solved quickly. Very busy area with varied noise levels. In my situation, meals were included.

    Great stay, had a premium room with fabulous views. Enjoyed the premium perks, separate pool and attentive service. Met some really great people in the premium lounge - the Irish crowd certainly knew how to party - great fun.Hope to return again soon, many thanks
