    Feels like Paris!

    rating30 Mar 2026

Located close to McGill and Westmount, this is an Intimate boutique hotel that feels as if you are in Paris. Rooms are generous and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful and the experience includes breakfast which while not extravagant, is enough to get you going on your day! This site has no elevators so be prepared to walk to upstairs to your room.Location is perfect-a short walk to Crescent street and St Catherine’s and close to some beautiful drives to Mount Royal Park, Westmount and Mount Royal. If you want a cozy vibe away from the hustle of Old Montreal , in a classy neighbourhood, consider this option!

Decent place with some important caveats. Not a luxury stay, but not terrible, either.

Having lived in Montreal just up the street from this hotel many yrs ago, I am familiar with the neighbourhood. Room rate was decent for a relatively large room with sitting area. Compared to a few other hotels on Sherbrooke (e.g. The Sofitel at Peel St.), this was a bargain. The Nespresso machine in the room was a surprise. Receptionist was very helpful in recommending some local bookstores. Also, the hotel's location is perfect -- near grocery stores and pharmacies, for snacks and other essentials during my 3-n stay. Departure for airport was smooth, as they booked a taxi in advance, and even had a staff member from their partner hotel across the street come over to help carry my bags to the curbside taxi right at the entrance. The downsides: First, the carpeting in the room was dirty. Stain spots everywhere. Bathroom was clean but small. Second, sound insulation was poor. I stayed during the World Series, and I could hear the folks next door chatting -- not cheering, but normal-level conversations. Bad. Third, the free breakfast had limited choices. Finally, the steps from the street to the hotel entrance are downright risky, watch your step and use the handrail going down!! I'm not sure whether there was a lift inside the hotel, as I only took the stairs to the second floor. Something to consider if one has mobility issues. Overall, there was a tired feeling to the entire hotel, a bit like a time capsule back to the 1980s. But given the price and location, I would recommend this hotel if you can tolerate the caveats described above.

    Solid

Good choice: close to Rue St. Catherines and Mont Royal. Room was very clean and neat. Nespresso in room very handy. Bathroom absolutely fine. But the carpet in the room was very tired, looking more like carpet in a hostel than in an otherwise decent hotel. Note: lots of stairs—from the street to the front door, and from the lobby to the floors.

    Accessibility issues, and needs modernizing

    rating17 May 2025

This property likely once was elegant, but it is tired and needs upgrading. For those with any mobility issues, please be aware that there are no elevators at all, and you will be faced with long steep staircases for most rooms, as well as to enter the hotel in the first place. This applies to carrying your luggage too obviously. My air-conditioning/ventilation was not working, so I spent my first night at 27 with a fan only. I reported the problem the next morning when I left around 8 am, and when I returned at 4 pm, it was not fixed, despite maintenance having logged that it was fixed. By then the room was at 28 degrees. When I returned from my evening event around 10 pm, it was decided to move me to a different room, which was incredibly small and had a very stale smell, but at least it had working air-conditioning. No apology, nothing, for this disruption. I would not stay here again. The hotel is over-priced for what you get.
