Cheap, close to a metro station, nice staff

    rating07 Oct 2015

One of the most economical options in the area. There are other cheap hostels around, but they are nearly impossible to find on the net.LocationIt's a 7 minute walk up a slight hill from the Torremolinos metro station. It's also about a 10 minute walk to the beach.BreakfastThey offer toast and jam or tomato puree and a drink in the taberna next door as breakfast in the morning from 8 - 10am.StaffThe staff here are very sweet. That's what stood out most for me.FacilitiesIt's a very small hostel. They have a small fridge downstairs, with a big table to sit, ironing board, etc. Although the basement is quite large, it is still a basement and not great for us claustrophobic types. Upstairs there's a tiny table with chairs for you to enjoy the rooftop but it's small so you won't sit out there for more than an hour. There are 2 full bathrooms on each floor, that was good enough for the amount of people it normally had. Each room had a sink, that helped the bathroom situation. The shared bunk rooms are fine, but there's one room that is horribly uncomfortable where you have to bend and scoot yourself around the bed because the sink hangs over the bed, and that's the only way to get in and out of the room. The "double bed" rooms are tiny, hardly any space to walk but, then, again, it's 30Euros in a very touristy area. For about 45 Euros you can get something more comfortable and on the beach, but you have to plan in advance.WIFIYep, free wifi. Good, but not impressively fast.THE BADAs a female it can get very uncomfortable because they don't have "girls' only" rooms. On two nights they put me with just some random guy. The first time the guy took off his pants right in front of me and was just hanging out in his little undies. Thankfully they did move me to another room. But then one night there was one random guy in my room when I arrived at 3am.I'm fine with co-ed when it's a bunch of mixed people. I'm NOT ok when it's me (one girl) and one random guy.

RUN AWAY! Worse than sleeping on the beach

    rating31 May 2015

The worst place I have ever stayed in and a total rip off for 32 eur. Everything is ancient and dirty. Tried to touch as little as possible in the room as so dirty and did my hygiene routine in the bathroom of a cafe instead. Ditched the shower until Iater to avoid the bathroom. Walls are thinner than paper and you hear every little noise as if it happens in the same room as yours. I managed to sleep only 3 hours as constantly woken up by noise or foot steps or the loud loud door bell in reception or people having sex in various rooms. It was like staying in a brothel and impossible to sleep.Wifi is continuously turned on/off so can't even use that and the signal is very weak. Free breakfast is in a mouldy basement and just toast with jam.

    First visit and worse!

    rating09 May 2015

Paid 31 euros for one night the hotel was smelly and pets were allowed, first room they gave me was very bad and I asked to change they said they are full but after I asked for the person in charge they gave me another one, it was in a poor condition for this price and was small the curtain fell down when I tried to close it. Finally breakfast is included and the surprise was that there was a pack of toast bread with two jam jars and some coffee with Dirty glasses to use and it was down in the basement, the worse experience ever!
