This attractive apartment complex is located at the heart of Sonnenland, above the link road between Puerto Rico and Playa del Inglés. An array of shops and entertainment attractions are located in the immediate vicinity. Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas with its wonderful beaches can easily be reached by making use of public transport, lying just 3 km away. There is a public bus stop to be found directly in front of the hotel (100 m away).

Facility

The bungalow complex has a lift and features 130 apartments. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park.     Having visited in January and more than we expected for 2* we thought we would return for a week in the sun…. We will never be back! Positives … clean apartment and reception staff friendly… the rest was awful…. Completely different from January ! Where do we start? Garden at apartment completely overgrown and after asking to have it sorted and it not being attended to my husband ended up weeding it!! Food was bland, flies everywhere and food at times inedible and we ended up eating out every night!!! Huge Cockroaches in the safe?? On two occasions, another thing ignored by hotel, when made aware. Towels given were smelly and like they were coated with something as did not dry you… so disappointing and lastly the locals allowed in at the weekend who were noisy and rude and made a peaceful holiday in to a nightmare!! We are aware this hotel is closing in April to become a 4* and the run down is already in action !! Not good especially after a positive visit just 3 months ago.

    This is well over priced for what you get. I would recommend going with the negative reviews. Vista oasis is almost at the top of a hill. It is very run down and in real need of an upgrade. The floor looks like it’s just a peel and stick flooring which is coming apart and disgustingly filthy in between each panel. The patio door had a hook and door chain to lock them. The bathroom window didn’t had a catch to keep the window shut. The wood is swollen on both the bathroom and bedroom doors so you had to force them closed and really pull on them open them. This would make the bathroom window fall open every time any of these doors were used. The arm on the bathroom window (so it didn’t open to far) was missing so it would fall right open making you think it was actually going to fall out of the frame. The safe in the room was dead 2 nights running so we couldn’t get into it. Someone came on the second night and reset it. We ran out of hot water more than once during the first persons shower. The complex wasn’t full so god only knows how they cope when and if they are ever full. The food OMG, this was way below par, the cooked food was barely even warm never mind hot. I stuck to salads to play it safe. You can’t get a juice before 11 am on all inclusive and it finishes at 10:30 pm. The entertainment is something else. It’s the same old woman every night who unsuccessfully does a karaoke every night when she is there. Poor young kids have nothing to do in the evenings, (although it could be seasonal). There was plenty of low down sun loungers. It’s about a 35-45 minute walk (depending on the pace you walk at) to the beach I didn’t mind the walk in both directions but my 72 year old mum struggled with the uphill walk so a taxi back is less than €10 (with a tip). Gran Canaria its self is nice and we would return to the island but never to vista oasis.

    AVOID 111 WORST PLACE EVER

    4 of us booked for a four week holiday in the sun. Oooh what a shock we all got. The whole place was dated and the location was really isolated. It was like being in the middle of a bomb site, surrounded by rocks and piles of mud. There was no entertainment and the restaurant was little more than a canteen. The food was absolutely disgusting, always cold and tasted disgusting. 3 of us came down with a really nasty gastro bug. The bungalows were unfit to stay in. This place was so bad we got an early as possible flight home. We would never go there again. Having travelled to many places we were shocked to see places like this existed.

    Ignore the negative reviews. Your booking a 2 star holiday and in our experience it has totally exceeded our expectations. The bungalows are lovely and have everything you need. Lovely showers. Nice firm beds with extra pillows and blankets. The staff can not do enough for you and are so friendly. Food is fine for all inclusive we had a variety every day. Coffee machine can use anytime. The water fountain also fill up your bottles. Plenty of sun beds. We had a relaxed and chilled holiday. I love my Prosecco and this was a really nice quality. We loved it and would recommend for a break on a budget you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
