    Family you never met

    rating12 May 2026

The street was so narrow, there are no photos of the hotel's exterior beyond the doorway. Inside it was a pleasant surprise. The hotel's staff is comfortably multi-lingual and very professional. They're also nice, warm Spanish people. Checking in felt like checking in with your favorite relatives. If we asked for recommendations or directions, they were happy to assist. If we were just going in or out, they left us to ourselves. When I asked about self-service laundries, the night manager recommended one but advised against a closer location. BTW, it was very good, very quick and very safe. Neighboring residents used it. They even allowed us to store our suitcases in a large closet near the front desk between check-out time but hours before our train, rather than recommending a paid storage facility. The room was comfortable, very clean, and had a very convenient bathroom, i.e., you can wash clothes in the sink if you wish. If the 1960s curtains and bedding surprise you, think of them as historical remnants. The place is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The lift was being renovated when we were there the final week of April. No problem. The stairway was next to the construction area and the work was covered up when no active work was underway. No dust, no noise, no inconvenience. There is an Indian restaurant directly across the street. There are coffee shops within a 2-3 minute walk in any direction. I'm not sure how to describe the neighborhood. It was heavily commercial, but it wasn't clearly any of the areas identified on maps. It was close enough to walk to the Alambra, but the front desk staff advised against it because we would do so much walking within the Alamabra. We could take a bus to go there, then walk back, they suggested. Buses in Granada are not well explained online. You can pay with a credit card when you get on a bus. They prefer that to cash. Drivers explain the general rules, then assume passengers have brains and can figure out the rest. Abrupt? No. Just clarifying as quickly as possible to maintain time schedules.Definitely would stay there again. Toilet Anacapri

    rating24 Sept 2025

This hotel is an absolute disgrace. From the outside, it might look like a decent property, but the moment you step inside the reality hits — it reeks like a public toilet. The room we were given was beyond unacceptable: filthy, run-down, and completely uninhabitable. We had to start searching for another hotel immediately just to salvage our trip. This property should not be recommended to anyone under any circumstance.   •   Parking: The so-called underground “garage” is one of the most dangerous, claustrophobic setups I’ve ever seen. Getting a car in or out without scraping it is near impossible.   •   Condition of the hotel: Everything is broken down, stained, or rotting. The mattresses were collapsing, the bathroom showed clear evidence of flooding, and the air conditioning blasted all night making it impossible to rest. The bedding was so disgusting that we had to avoid using it altogether.   •   Cleanliness: Nonexistent. The place feels dirty from top to bottom. The truth is this “hotel” is barely fit for purpose. Whatever rate we paid was several times more than it was worth. We immediately moved to a proper hotel at a much higher cost — and would gladly have paid that from the beginning to avoid this nightmare. This property is a fraud on guests. It is unsafe, unsanitary, and a stain on the hospitality industry. Please remove it from any booking list immediately. Gemma Morelló Carrera, Director General at Hotel Anacapri, responded to this review Dear guest,I regret your dissatisfaction with the hotel, but your comments do not reflect the reality of the hotel. In fact, the vast majority of our guests' comments are very favorable. This is a complete exaggeration. If your room was as bad as you describe, we could have changed rooms, but you never requested it.You are complaining about the small, inconvenient parking. I inform you that the hotel does not have its own parking. We have a pricing agreement with several parking garages located in the center of Granada to facilitate our guests' service.Without further ado, please accept my best regards,The Management

    Great location in Granada

    rating04 Jun 2025

Hotel Anacapri was a great find in Granada. The hotel is well located amongst the central tourist area with many restaurants and shops close by. The hotel is clean and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk attendant, Cathy, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely stay again if ever in Granada. Highly recommend.
