  Noisy at night - otherwise great

  The suite itself is very good, Patricia is very helpful, the location is great during the day, but I am writing this at 5.35am after our second night of lying awake listening to the sounds of dozens of young people on the streets just outside our hotel. They are talking as loudly as they wish - sometimes shouting, calling to each other, singing or cheering. They are exuberant youngsters having a great time with their friends and they have been at it ALL NIGHT LONG!! They finally gave up and went home around 6am yesterday.We, on the other hand, are overtired pensioners who are trying to enjoy the sights of Granada during the day and need to sleep at night. . We experienced a very loud motorbike cavalcafe driving the length of the Gran Via at 11pm - we were already asleep by then, trying to catch up from the previous very sleepless night. The odd noisy motorbike still passes - I can hear one right now. We have five more nights of this to look forward to. Our apartment faces this busy road with 3 large wooden doors opening ontobalconies. Unfortunately, this means there’s no possibility of soundproofing from double or triple glazing. It provides a good view which we enjoy - just so very noisy at night. We requested a quieter room, but there are none available. It’s not the hotel’s fault. I’m writing this do, if you book to stay here, you know what to expect.

  A Case of Style over Practicality

  We visited as two couples in October for a short two night stay Initial impressions were of a clean, well presented apartment. However, very soon we came to feel that it was a complete victory for style over practicality There was a coffee machine but no kettle to make tea A saucepan was the only option to heat water. There was insufficient storage in the kitchen, such that glasses were found in the broom cupboard!There was no clothes storage in bedroom 2, requiring a share of the only one in bedroom 1.There was the remains of an incontinence undersheet on one of the single beds in bedroom 1.Whilst we were relatively happy with the apartment for our stay, anything longer would have been a challenge Jose C, Dueño at Bibo Suites Gran Via, responded to this review DearWe are very sorry to hear about your experience with us.   Wam and cosy hotel

  The hotel is located in city centre, with convenient transportation, dining and shopping facilities nearby. It is an apartment style hotel, spacious, secure, cosy and with good view. The apartment is well equipped with kitchenware, which facilite us to cook simple dishes by ourselves. The welcoming wine, coffee capsules and tea bags made us feel at home. The bed and sofa bed are comfortable and air conditioning is warm enough. We can sleep in bed or stand in the balcony watching sunrise, sunset and castle on the hill. We will definitely re-book this hotel if we come again.   Almost Perfect, except for the Bathroom

  Upon first arrival, our apartment was perfect. We had the top floor 2-bedroom apartment, number 601, in building 11. This top floor apartment had huge balconies in the front and back of the apartment. The front balcony had a stunning view of Alhambra in the distance, and the back balcony overlooked the Cathedral next door. There are tables on both to enjoy the scenery. We were here for New Yearś Eve and could watch the fireworks all over the city from the balconies. There is also a washing machine in this apartment, which was a question I could not find an answer to on the website. Beds are comfy, place is clean, amazing location. The problem was the bathroom. The building is old and remodeled, and the toilet smelled of sewer gas when flushed. Also we could not figure out how to attach the shower head to the holder on the wall. It did not seem to fit, so showering was difficult just holding the shower head. The water pressure was also poor. Iḿ not sure there is much they can do about the bathroom issues.   Extremely clean and good location

  The only bad thing I could see anybody possibly saying about this hotel is that the front desk is open from 9am-9pm. This was easily the cleanest hotel we stayed in during our 10 nights in Spain. Check in was easy. The hotel provided a map of the area and instructions on how to get to all of the highlights of Granada. You are a 20-30 minute walk to the Alhambra, depending on how fast you walk. But it is mostly uphill and steep. There are also buses and cabs to take to the entrance, and the hotel will help you use these services. There is a large pedestrian only shopping area a block away. There are also many restaurants nearby. There is also a parking garage less than a 5 minute walk. The parking garage (Parking San Agustin) costs 26 euros, but the hotel has vouchers for 20 euros. The parking garage was hard to find despite the flyer the hotel provides online. Room has a full kitchen and refrigerator for your use. We also had a large terrace, though I'm not sure if all rooms include this. Great hotel that we would definitely return to if we are ever in Granada again!
