  SHAMEFUL to put this hotel on a 3 or 4 star tourist circuit

  FRAM you should take this hotel off the Andalousia circuit. The three other hotels on our circuit were very good but this one was terrible and does not in any way deserve its 3 stars. Firstly badly situated a long way out from Grenada center in an area where there is nothing open to go out to eat, which is absolutely necessary because the self service restaurant is awful - it's in a basement which is noisy, food not up to standard, staff inattentive who don't clear the tables and who are just interested to see that you have your breakfast voucher! No outdoor areas, no parking. Our room and bathroom were OK, but not up to a 3 star standard. Unfortunately we had to spend two nights, a tip for others don't book or if on the circuit, come back to the hotel as late as possible having dined in Grenada - just use it to sleep!

  We only stayed 1 night but we were due to arrive by 9pm. Typical our flight was delayed and we had trouble with our hire car, sent a message to the hotel and got an immediate response that they knew about the delay and somebody would be awaiting our arrival no problem.When we arrived we were met by a great receptionist who was extremely helpful and welcoming.Great rooms, clean and everything you could need, except a kettle in the morning, strange Brit habit!!Our rooms had a balcony and a large bathroom. Plenty of free parking in the side streets or an underground car park owned by the hotel, I think there may be a charge for this.Breakfast was good although we choose to go into the attached coffee shop a little later. Highly recommended

  Beds: 10 cm height difference -"great" for honeymoon

  The web pictures of rooms looked fine but we were probably unlucky. In room 207, there was a 10 cm difference in the height of our beds. (have ever seen that elsewhere). The upholstery of the only chair in the small room was badly torn. And no other room available.Otherwise ok for ***

  Hotel in general was fine for a 3 * but the food and unhelpful catering manager was awful

  1 - Reception and the room were fine and very clean, albeit some upgrading of the corridors was going on eg no carpets only concrete floors in some of them.2 - Food was awful. Tasteless school dinners of the 1950's variety. Catering management was unhelpful although staff were very helpful otherwise. No coffee available except in the bar after lunch and dinner, only at breakfast. Meals were buffet style and at set times. All quite regimented eg same table and seat for each meal. The Spaniards in the party seemed to accept this in general, although one couple on our table left on Day 2 of the 3 day stay and never reappeared for the whole 7 day trip. Personally I want to rebel against this sort of customer service. Generally I am used to a better standard in the dining rooms of British & US hotels or at least the 3* ones I have stayed in from time to time.3 - A tram line straight into the city centre starts just down the road from the hotel and is clean, relatively quick (although it has just over 20 stops for the journey) and only costs about £1.50 each way.I wouldn't stay again for more than 1 night but I guess this may be what you get for 3* comfort there.

  Excellent check in and friendly staff. Room size disappointing, rooms recently renovated shame the beds weren't updated also. Good location for accessing Albolote and Granada. Shower beware goes from medium to scalding hot. Would book again though as its a great town with many numerous bars and restaurant.
