    Remodeling going on for months... and even though the obligatory notice on the web site - this hotel is not fully up front regarding the remodeling - very intense and there is no front lobby...only side entrance - and this can be an issue with luggage, etc., The rooms that have been remodeled are OK...but this hotel is NOT business friendly, because there is not desk... just a small round table with larger type chairs. I have been coming to this hotel for many years - this is the worst I have seen and if they were more up front on the remodeling I would have stayed in Corbin - which is another hotel owned by the same owner. I would not stay here until deep into January 2026.... from what I have observed the renovations are going at a unbelievable snail pace. And when everything is done, it is just an average Hampton Inn...

    We expected this hotel to have the usual Hilton/ Hampton experience. We were looking forward to using pool/ hot tub after hiking. When we arrived the hotel was in process of remodeling. No pool, gym, hot tub, Halloween decorations. The front desk was a table staffed by a cordial gentleman. Our room was nice but it was overpriced for the amenities. We were disappointed. I wished the hotel was upfront about the remodeling. I am now leery about a room with this company in the future.

    They (or the owner) are NOT transparent regarding the renovation on this property. The front entrance is totally blocked...you must use a side entrance and having luggage is a struggle getting through the door. The owner of this hotel also owns the Fairfield next door - so the owner does not care if you stay in the Hampton. I would not stay here until all of the renovation is complete... maybe end of year. Old dated hotel, owner waiting too long to renovate, now still charges high rates - while renovation is going on. Cutting corners where ever he can...and still will charge total dollar rates for a "work in progress / construction" active location... not worth the aggravation...can not believe Hilton puts up with this owner. I have actually be going to that hotel for approx 10 years... and will stay away until renovations are fully complete.

    I’m a loyal Hampton Inn patron but find this location to be very dated. Chipped and scratched old wooden furniture, scratched.Dated decor. There is some ongoing construction so perhaps there will be future improvements. Sorry to say I can’t recommend.

    I am very upset with my recent stay at this hotel. I am a very loyal Diamond member; I have stayed in a Hampton inn for 100 days so far this year. I was charged an extra $265.00 for damage done to the room that was not done by me. They said I was smoking in my room, NOT A SMOKER, and there was property damage done to the sprinkler system on the ceiling. On the ceiling in my room was a white sprinkler unit & next to it was one wrapped in black plastic; I thought that was done by the hotel. Apparently, that was done by another guest, and they are charging me for this damage. I will NEVER stay with at this location again. General Manager Tara Hickman was not even willing to listen to me at all regarding these false charges against me. She told me that the staff inspects the rooms after they are cleaned, I find that very hard to believe since the tub had mold on the rim. My advice to anyone, take a video of your room so you have proof of everything prior to unpacking your bags.
