  Initially I was a little disappointed with this hostel but over our four day stay I overcame some negative feelings. Yes the room is small but it was very clean indeed. The walls are thin and noise from room to room does carry so hopefully your neighbours will be considerate! However the plus points are many. It’s location is excellent very close to the heart of the city with great access to sol square, gran via etc. Staff at reception are friendly and always ready to help. Good food places are plentiful locally so the lack of a restaurant or bar is easily overcome. I assume this is one difference between a hostel and a hotel! Wi fi was ok a lot of the time and worked well enough to meet my needs. The shower was very powerful with no problems over hot water. Street noise was an issue but a room at the other side of the corridor may have overcome this. So this hostel may not suit everyone but for good value I thought it was very good indeed.

  Great central location steps from Gran Via, very clean, helpful front desk. I asked for quiet, was given a small room on the back looking into an air shaft space... not over the busy pedestrian street in front. Coffee available in the lobby (1 euro), none in room; no hair dryer. Very small tv, very adequate free WiFi. Tapa Tapa excellent restaurant 2 doors down. Totally would stay here again.

  Good place to stay but very noisy

  Stayed here for 4 nights - good clean basic accommodation. Our room was cleaned regularly and fresh towels provided daily. Good central location but because you are located just off the Gran Via there is a lot of noise from taxi and cars constantly beeping their car horn, drunks waiting past shouting and also construction work taking place on the metro right outside the front door.

  This hotel is located in the heart of Madrid. All major attractions are reachable by foot. Sol is hardly 5 min walk. Main train station is nearby as well with good connectivity with Metro train. From that you can go to any part of Spain using their bullet train.
