  3 night break in Majorca

  We booked half board basis at this hotel with jet2 for a 3 night break. Arrival at Palma’s new fingerprint passport control & baggage collection took less than 30 minutes. Waiting for jet 2 to sort out our transfer took longer. But eventually a small comfortable mini bus with just 2 other people was provided. Arrival at the hotel reception was dealt with by Mr Mounchin, who was welcoming & offered a first class service throughout our whole stay. Helpful, informative, kind & funny. He is an asset to the hotel. We arrived just after lunch, got our half board wrist bands ( which also double as room key.) We had to wait for our room to be ready, so we got ourselves a drink at the pool bar, which also serves snacks & ice-creams. Once ready we found our room (307) , via the lift. It was spacious, with good storage space, comfortable twin beds each made with lightweight duvet, sheet , cover & 2 pillows. Sockets, lights, & charging points by the bedside. There was also a sofa ( possibly sofa bed) a fridge with some complimentary drinks. The bathroom had a bath & shower, toiletries were supplied. Hairdryer, & good quality towels which were replaced as required. Powerful hot water was plentiful at all times. The air con & a safe were provided in the cost of our holiday. Patio door led out onto a small balcony with table & chairs & a drying rack, & was overlooking the outdoor entertainment area (potentially noisy in busy times) but not during our stay. The hotel is spacious and clean, it is surrounded by well kept gardens. The pool area was clean & tidy with lots of sunbeds, umbrellas & easy chairs. Always plenty available (May). There’s a children’s pool area with pirate ship, umbrella water fountain & slides. Children’s activities provided daily & apparently Hugo Hippo, who we personally never got to meet!The restaurant was huge, with lots of tables & chairs, & highchairs & some outdoor seating. All the food was excellent. Lots of choices at all sittings and continually being replenished. It is self service, with all the usual issues of negotiating the selections & choosing what you want to eat & getting back to the table with hot food & drinks! A microwave is available for reheating. The staff are excellent & busy at all times. Clearing tables & replenishing foods. At breakfast, there’s several hot drink & juice machines available. Although busy, it all ran very smoothly & was always clean & tidy. Lunch & dinner drinks are served at your table. It’s worth noting if you’ve booked half board, you can swap meals fromDinner to lunch if you prefer. On the first night, we moved tables because I spotted some ants by the window, I told the waiter Sergio , who abruptly told me “Ants - Not possible”. I offered to show him & he rudely turned his back on me and walked away. On the 2nd night, the same waiter cleared our unfinished drinks away while we were getting our main course. But other staff members were extremely attentive & replaced our drinks, later when we tried to pay our bill, they said that our drinks were complimentary, as way of an apology. Apart from these 2 small issues, all staff were polite & hardworking at all times. There is entertainment provided each night in the bar area. When booking the jet2 holiday, it was advertised with a complimentary shuttle bus to the beach, but during our stay, this was not so. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel, and the regular bus journey is approx €2.50 each way, and takes about 25 mins, and also goes to Palma. We hired a car for ease, and there was plenty of parking available. All in all, a enjoyable short break in Majorca in a nice, well cared for hotel with good staff members.   Well where to start this is my second visit to best delta. The first being in 2022,so I was wandering what the difference would be. But I can say it's improved with little touches like door keys on your wrist band. The food was great and all the staff were amazing all the entertainment team great. It's made more for french but they all joined in with us friendly English people. A big shout out to Ada and her team at the bar they were all amazing service with a smile. Will go back for sure and as 2 couples we both enjoyed are stay and time at best delta. Last a big shout out to Leo the Jet2 rep lovely fella and always happy to help.
