    Great location & good value for money

    Stayed at Castilla Guerrero the beginning of December.We arrived early & fortunately our room was ready. Room was standard, clean & modern - room 408, it faced a courtyard but that was fine. It had a free safe, basic shower gel & shampoo, a proper hairdryer and a good sized shower.For what we paid I was really pleased, reception staff pleasant & more importantly the location is 10/10. It’s close to everything use the train from airport to Malaga Centro and it’s a short 10 mins walk to the hotel. We had breakfast at La Julietta on the corner, lovely coffee & a delicious pain au chocolat.

    Not client oriented in case of cancelled flight

    Our flight was cancelled the day before our arrival. We tried to contact the hotel to inform them in advance per email and per telephone. We never received any answer nor to our emails nor by phone. The hotel was totally unreachable. Now the hotel doesn’t make any effort to reimburse us - even partially - the night. They pretend that we cancelled out of time (min 3 days in advance policy) What else could we do considering that : - the flight was cancelled just the day before- the hotel never replies to us (phone and 2 emails)That not OK to let us without any response and afterwards to just refer to the 3 days in advance policy. Because in the meantime they collected our money and probably even rebooked our room.

    Pleasant stay

    This was a last minute booking, and we only stayed one night as we had an early morning flight the next day. Really impressed with this hotel, and despite being in an industrialsed area it is a little oasis. It is quirky (in a good) way and a little dated, but immaculately clean and the staff are really warm and welcoming. I was pleasantly suprised and impressed and would definitey book again.

    For around 150 euros a night you can get thrown in the attic, the 17 m include the room, hall and bath. Of course no normal window and the ceiling is coming onto your head eating half the room away - no normal closet, just some space with closet doors embedded in the roof lower partThe attic floor rooms are not shown in pictures of course, but I think all rooms have the same size anyway, except for the fact they have normal height and windows.I couldn't even post a review on Booking.com because a third party was selling the offer - how convenient.

    The pluses: great location convenient to the port, train station and old Majorca. Everything is literally ten minutes away. Hotel is clean and modern. The downsides: staff were indifferent, bordering on unfriendly. Rooms are small and if yours opens onto the center atrium, dark and lacking in natural daylight. Sound is an issue as it carries from both the atrium and the hallways. Cleaners kept removing our keycard which resulted in devices not charging and the fridge turning off while we were away- a very unpleasant surprise when we expected our perishables to be cold.
