Location

This congenial city hotel is located in the marvellous bay of Malaga, directly on the sea. There are copious shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and a nightclub in the surrounding area. The nearest public transport connections are approximately 10 m away from the hotel and the city centre may easily be reached on foot. The hotel is especially suitable for those travelling on business as a result of its proximity to the railway station and the trade centre.

Facility

5 suites and 136 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Great spot for Rail Station

    We chose this hotel because it was so close to the main rail station and were slightly worried that with such a good price it might not be as good as some of the other hotels on our trip, but we were pleasantly surprised. For what we paid it was outstanding. A massive bed which was super comfortable and a very decent breakfast.The internet didn't work which is pretty unusual these days. We also chose the hotel because of its proximity to the station but this does mean it is a reasonable distance to the main centre.

    Spanish hotel ratings do seem to be rather generous. This wouldn't be 4 star in many other countries.First the good stuff: very clean inside. Good breakfast though the machine-made coffee is poor and the hot food not hot at all. The negative stuff: The lack of staff is apparent at breakfast and at reception (you always get to wait) . Outside the place is full of litter and small rubbish. Quite unsightly. It is a long way to the centre (cathedral area). Not 10 minutes as another review said. Since it is very much city centre prices you are better off further in at the same rate.The niggles: A really badly designed narrow bath with the tap in the middle, a fixed shower shield so you have to stand up if you want more hot water and the fixed shampoos etc trapped in their holders. Downmarket and very annoying.It is corporate and characterless but you won't hate it. They don't comment on reviews which is rather telling. Staff economising again

    Lovely staff,reception area,dining room,lifts and corridors immaculate,air con in room excellent.No noise once patio doors closed just from ignorant guests who slam doors and talk very loud.Can only speak for room 614 Not worth £200 per night. Dirty mark and dent on wall by bed Only two bottles of water for 7 days. No kettle,just a coffee maker with horrible coffee and 2 milk pouches a day. Shower area needed tlc (new mastic) around tray,took ages to get hot (needs a new mixer tap on temperature setting) and poor pressure. Noise of other rooms air con units all night long. Scruffy balcony with broken tiles and dirty walls,also poor view due to wrap around wall 4 foot from balcony wall. Seats on balcony were made of metal and impossible to sit on (see pic),when I enquired to reception they told me the cushions were in the wardrobe,they were wool blankets,try sitting on those at 30 degrees. Hotel also need to get a fixed price off taxis for airport transfer,we paid 25 euros arriving and 35 euros departing.I don't know why I am bothering writing this as the hotel does not reply to any poor reviews??

    Disappointing Birthday Stay

    Disappointing stay last week. First morning no hot water at all unable to have a shower. Day 2 we had planned to sleep in as it was my birthday and we’d been out late. They made no mention of the construction work on the roof it started at 07.45. Disappointing considering they could have place us in a room away from the work. Nice breakfast and staff all lovely.
