  We stayed one night in the hotel (thank goodness only one night)! We booked the superior double room and yet the room was dingy and dark. It is no comparison to the photo on the website. The window was small and facing another wall of the building so it was very dark. Furniture was dark and outdated, tired bedding. The room has a foul smell, almost like cleaning agents. Definitely not worth the price we paid. The only one good thing about this hotel is the location.

  Fantastic individual hotel with parking in the heart of Ronda.

  This characterful individual hotel is literally a few steps from the lively main tourist street in Ronda and less than 10 mins walk from the bridge. We chose it for the central location and secure parking as a stop on our road trip. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the room was unique, spacious, comfortable and quiet. It was quite dark due to the shutters, but that brought a welcome cool with the outside temperature of 32 C. Everything was spotlessly clean. We didn’t try the spa or gym, though the sun terrace on the roof was a nice haven. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet too- great variety and very tasty. Loved the orange juicer! Sadly, we only stayed one night so Ronda and this hotel are firmly on the list of locations we will revisit for a longer stay.   Good location for a base to explore Ronda and good parking if you need it (book with the hotel)

  We planned a day stop-over in Ronda and needed a hotel with parking for our hire car. The email communication with El Tajo on this was the best of the 3 hotels we used during our trip in Andalusia. The only thing it would have been helpful to know would be that you have to pull up in front of the hotel and ask the staff to let you into the car park (we ended up parking 10 mins away and having to move our car after we’d checked in!) the car park is secure and spaces are of a reasonable size and reasonably priced at €15 for the day.The location is handy for bars, restaurants, shopping and viewing the “new” bridge which is stunning.The room was simple, quite small, but very comfortable and clean. We weren’t sure if breakfast was included at check in (although I was sure I’d requested it when I booked on Hotels.com - again more clarity on this would be helpful on the documents provided after booking), but in the end it was and a nice simple buffet and just what we needed. There’s a vending machine in reception as well with drinks and snacks for €1.5Staff were friendly - we didn’t try out the spa, but it’s €15 per hour and you need to book. The only thing I found a bit odd was everywhere smelled very strongly of air fresheners - quite a sweet fragrance - I don’t think it was necessary to be quite so strong!   Great location but a bit dark

  Great location and a wonderful roof terrace for sun bathing or looking out over the city. Shame there was no bar up there though! Underground parking which was useful but charged for in addition to the room. Very nice hotel with large showers and good beds. The only downside was the rooms had very little natural light so were very dark - great for sleeping but not if you want to spend anytime in your room during the day.

  We found the staff very helpful when we arrived,they gave us where to go & visit & gave a map,we took their info & had a lovely visit of gardens &saw the famous bridge.We were then advised where to go for a special meal,which wasworth the visit ,we are going back to the same hotel with our friend,would recommend it ,breakfast was buffet & plenty ofchoice,parking is enclosed so no worries
