    Relaxing weekend away!

    rating26 May 2026

We recently stayed here for a long weekend on an all-inclusive basis. We were lucky enough to have a sea view room, which was absolutely lovely, and there are also beautiful sea views from the main restaurant and bar. There are two pools located across the road from the hotel, both of which were lovely. We never had any issues getting a sunbed, and the sunbeds themselves were really comfortable. The pools are located at a beach bar that is also open to the public, and while it did sometimes feel like the staff prioritised non-hotel guests, it didn’t affect our experience too much.We always managed to find something we enjoyed at every meal, and there was especially a great variety at breakfast. However, we do feel the hotel would benefit from having more self-service drinks stations around the hotel, particularly for water. It also seemed strange that the coffee machine only appeared to be available at breakfast time. The bar area was very nice, and Elvira stood out for her excellent service. There was entertainment on two of the evenings — a saxophonist and a singer — and the singer in particular was fantastic. We also used the spa and had massages, which were incredibly relaxing. The therapist was so friendly, and the indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were all very nice.Zack from the entertainment team was especially welcoming and friendly to all guests. It’s great that the hotel offers a shuttle service to Punta Prima beach — it’s only around 10 minutes away and is a really lovely beach. One thing we feel could be improved is the clarity on booking websites regarding the restaurants and bars. We had thought the Dinky Bar and à la carte restaurants were onsite and included, but there was no mention of these in the arrival information. The hallways occasionally had an unpleasant smell, and it would have been nice if the room fridge had been stocked with still water. The spa seemed to be the only place with a water machine available.Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing stay and really enjoyed our time here.

    A mixed bag

    rating19 May 2026

A very mixed review…the hotel is in a lovely setting overlooking the sea. On arrival our room smelt horrible, damp and musty and it was very cold. We complained and reception sent a maid who sprayed something that helped the smell a bit, and they also provided extra bedding. The heater connected to the air conditioning didn’t work. We went for some lunch, on return to the room our wristbands wouldn’t open the door. The manager came and arranged for the lock to be repaired. He also offered a heater for the room which was much appreciated. The room itself was fine. Nice to have English TV channels available. Our main issue was the restaurant. Most of the staff were lovely but the food wasn’t great. It was never more than warm, plenty of salad choices but the meat was often overcooked as were the vegetables. The soup was often no more than flavoured water, apart from the tomato soup which was lovely. I found it surprising that there were no water bottles available throughout the day, only water poured at your table. If you needed water you had to pay for it, ridiculous when you are all inclusive. We were so fed with the food that we ate lunch twice at the Pura beach bar. The food there is lovely but you have to pay for it and it’s not cheap! The sun beds at Pura beach are lovely, the best we’ve ever used, but I imagine there would be a difficulty getting one in high season.

    S'Algar not what it was.

    rating17 May 2026

My wife and I were regular visitors to the former Hotel S'Algar before it was sold a few years ago.We stayed for just 4 nights ( bed and breakfast ) and thought the hotel was well maintained and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast, but can't comment on the other food/meals provided. Our trip down memory lane was, however, spoiled by the noise from the bar in the lobby which stayed open until midnight. We were allocated room 2102 which is very close to an open arch leading into the bar. This was early May, I dread to think what it would be like when the hotel is full of guests on all inclusive packages! People thinking of booking should also be aware that S'Algar is nothing like it was 20+years ago when we started visiting . Most of the shops and the bar/restaurants have closed. It is very quiet.

    Excellent Adult only Hotel

    rating14 May 2026

Excellent hotel. Wonderful and very friendly staff. The food was varied and good. My favourite club suite was ideal and worth the upgrade. If you like adult only and calm is perfect place. Lovely walks to Alcalfar and Punta prima.

The Staff at Alua soul Menorca are the stars

    rating11 May 2026

Wonderfully relaxing week in a sea view room on half board basis. One coeliac and one garlic and peppers allergy. Restaurant staff were so kind and attentive making sure a good range of suitable food was available. We stayed at the very beginning of the season rooms were immaculately clean and so comfortable. Loungers in beach club across the road from the hotel were super comfy and the food on offer was very reasonably priced and delicious. S'Algar is picturesque and perfect for relaxing walks and chilling. We hired a car at S'Algar car hire right beside the hotel which was very reasonable and we also used the bus service which was great. Finally a special mention must go to Conso who works the restaurant like it was a big Family dinner and she is the Matriarch. She is born to host but is one of the hardest workers too. All staff greet you with a smile and a wish to help. We will look forward to returning to Alua Soul and S'Algar. A real jewel.
