Location

This apartment complex is located right in the lively town of Cala Blanca and is only around 400 m from a pretty little bay with a fine sandy beach. An abundance of shops and entertainment venues are located in the immediate vicinity. It is worth taking a trip to the town of Ciutadella that lies 5 km away that can easily be reached by making use of the public transport that departs from a stop within metres of the hotel.

Facility

Units include 54 apartments located in a 2-storey main building and 3 auxiliary buildings. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment complex has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Further services and facilities include medical assistance, a laundry service and a hairdresser. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A safe and a minibar are also available. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a telephone, a TV, a DVD player and WiFi. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. The complex has family rooms and 54 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The wide range of activities offered at the complex ensures that there is something new to do every day, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, basketball and archery. Water sports available at the complex include windsurfing, paddle boating, sailing, snorkelling and diving. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, billiards and squash. Children are well looked after in the kids' club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant (with high chairs), a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast gives guests many delicious reasons to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte or choose a set menu. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    The hotel was nice, room was a decent size. There are different buildings, so it can be a little walk to your apartment. Pool is nice and clean, however, on Weekends and afterschool the pool gets quite overrun with local children. We didn't have a problem getting a sunbed at the beginning of the week, but on the weekend they were largely taken over by Spanish families which seemed unfair when we had paid to stay in the hotel. Often there were no parents accompanying the children, so they just ran wild around the pool area.The food at the hotel restaurant is decent, although service is quite slow.The local area is VERY quiet, not many bars/ restaurants around. The bars we went to were fine, there just wasn't many to choose from.There are 2 small beaches nearby.

    Nice but not much happening in the area. There is very limited bars in the area and that's it. Area is very quiet. Saturdays and Sundays locals cram the pool area and take sunbeds from paying guests and their kids mob the pool and just scream all day. Kids will be kids I suppose. Main hotel is decent, food was good. I personally won't be back here but that's just my preference. It was a nice getaway but weekend was a struggle.

    Maribel Apartments are beautiful. We loved everything about the place , beautiful apartments , very comfortable and clean. All the staff, reception, maid service and especially the bar/Restaurant are friendly and helpful . Lovely big pool , plenty of sun beds ( except at the weekends, gets overrun with local Spanish family’s, who are very loud and kids take over the pool.

    We were here at the end of October staying in a 2 bedroomed apartment.The apartment was spotlessly clean and so much space.. everything you needed was available and if there was an issue it was sorted straight away. There was 3 ring hob, an oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. All cutlery and crockery you could imagine. Washing up liquid, sponge, cloth and tea towels. A living room with a smart tv and wifi.If you are looking to go here go do not hesitate. The location was perfect close to sea, bars and restaurants. The pool was quiet we never had a problem getting a sunbed and the pool was lovely. We ate in the restaurant and the food and staff were lovely. Bus stop out side reception and caves to visit next door. Lovely lovely lovely.

    Over the years, we have walked by this place, but never stayed there, or in fact stopped for food. Having a few days away in October, Maribel popped up, so we thought we would give it a go. Knowing the area, we weren't going to be too fussed on the outcome. We loved it, in a nutshell. A large 2 bedroom apartment, which was spotlessly clean. From check in to check out, everything was great. The Restaurant is also excellent, having a very broad menu, even at the end of the season, everything was available. All the staff we met were warm & friendly.Cala Blanca is a quiet area, even in the height of summer, so if you are looking to relax, having a base between two beaches & near the City of Ciutadella, then this could be the place for you.Also seems to be a popular meeting place for the locals, which only adds to the feeling of the place.Anything to moan about? The door handle to the Apartment was a bit wobbly, and I would expect this at the end of a season, where doors have probably been slammed. So all in all, for a 3 Star Apartment block in a fantastic location, then it gets the thumbs up from me.If you want to be like a local, see the Police rock up for a morning coffee & the locals, then this is real Menorca.
