  Clean Hotel in a Good Location, But Food and Comfort Let It Down

  The hotel is in a quiet location, but there’s still plenty nearby to stop you feeling isolated. Punta Prima is around a 10-minute walk away with a lovely beach, plus a scenic coastal path leading to quieter coves if you enjoy exploring. The 92 bus stops directly outside the hotel and gets you into Mahón in roughly 20 minutes for just €1.80, which was really handy.The hotel itself was clean throughout and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the small side, but it was adequate for the stay.Unfortunately, the biggest downside for us was the comfort and food. The beds were extremely firm, which left all of us waking up with sore backs and stiff necks most mornings. The buffet also became very repetitive quite quickly and the food often wasn’t hot enough for our liking. There is a microwave available in the dining room, which we ended up using regularly to properly heat meals through. By the third day, we chose to eat out most evenings instead.Another issue was a noticeable sewage smell around the reception area in the evenings. We’re not sure what caused it, but it was quite noticeable whenever coming back into the hotel.Overall, we still enjoyed our holiday and appreciated the cleanliness and lovely staff, but personally we wouldn’t choose to stay at this hotel again. We deliberately chose firm mattresses because, from the point of view of rest and postural health, they are the ones most recommended by experts. A firm mattress ensures that the spine remains aligned throughout the night, distributes weight evenly and prevents pressure points that cause back pain upon waking.We fully understand that mattress preference is very personal and that, if you are used to a softer one, the change may be noticeable at first. Our aim is to ensure you get a perfect night’s sleep, so if you feel you need a little extra softness, we are looking into solutions such as a topper or a padded mattress topper to soften the surface and thus adapt as much as possible to the tastes and preferences of our guests.Guest ExperienceMinura Hotels.

  Fantastic 2 weeks, exceptional staff extremely helpful, being Coeliac I had emailed the hotel several times to confirm that they catered for food intolerance, I felt totally safe eating in the restaurant and food is also allergy labelled. Angel and the team in restaurant was superb and being Coeliac he really looked after me, & what can I say about Zayna at restaurant entry she has an infectious laugh and interacted with all the guests and the children absolutely loved her, Could not have asked for a better hotel, clean & friendly. Yes the showers are small but they are manageable. It is remote but there is a courtesy bus to both Punta Prima beach & Binibeck (which is a gorgeous little bay with beach bar), and also the bus to Mahon no 92 stops in hotel grounds. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked to return for my 70th in July. Fabulous time.   One of our better vacation stays

  We had a nice 1-week stay in this hotel. While this place is not close to sandy beaches, it has a good shuttle service to the 2 closest beaches in the area. The manager and people in Reception are very friendly and helpful. we did not like much the view from our room, they helped us quickly to accommodate our wishes. The food is very good even though its variety could improve. The evening entertainment was better in comparison with that in other hotels that offer similar programs. Very clean and well maintained. The service excellent. The foreign clientele mostly French and British.We would recommend this hotel and even come again if possibleS. and D.   Initially when we had arrived at this hotel we thought it looked nice, looked clean, we were relatively happy with our choice. That didn’t last. We saw the room and was met with a tiny box shower that made it incredibly difficult to wash. The cleaners only done half a job every day, went out into the balcony twice throughout our stay, didn’t clean the windows or the floors. To give them credit they did do a good job with the bathroom. With the food, I get the impression they like to cook with a lot of oil. A lot of fried things with every meal, the choices weren’t particularly great either. Breakfast was probably the best thing they put on. The things that were nice about the hotel though was the location, the views are incredible and it is a lovely area. 20-25 minute walk down to the beach front or you can use the free shuttle service the hotel provides. Yes this holiday might have been on the cheaper side but it’ll be the last time my partner and I ever step foot in it. This could be for you, this was not for us.
