  Lovely quiet hotel

  Lovely hotel, views are beautiful.Air conditioning in both rooms at no extra cost, not a massive choice of food like some hotels but plenty to choose from and all very tasty. Staff are very helpful and serve with a smile. Supermarket just down the road a 2 min walk, beach just down the road if you want more than around the pool and baking in the sun a lovely little bar called bjs 15 min taxi drive pool table, darts, sports screen and food is unreal, the harbour is about the same in a taxi with bars and restaurants and certain days a market. Nothing major to complain about could do with a bit of music around the pool and one staff member could do with a personality change but all in all we have really enjoyed it.   Things got better

  We have just returned back home having stayed for 5 nights as a family of 4. We were initially disappointed with the quality of finish of the apartment, it was very run down and only a stained pullout bed settee and the flat not being cleaned to a good standard. The hotel on first glance appeared a bit characterless compared to others we’ve stayed at in Menorca. But, having complained to Jet2 (who were fabulous I have to say), the hotel staff put in another single bed in the apartment and we got daily cleaning. The reception staff were very understanding. I have to say, the apartment and hotel grew on us over time and we ended up having a great time and actually enjoyed the simplicity of the place. The restaurant and food was very clean, good variety and very happy to see fly traps around. A handy tip: if the evening mealtime is too late (8pm), then you can swap your dinner for lunch if staying half board.   Great Location, Poor Service and Misleading Policies

  Positives: Food was fine for the early booking price, and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Facilities were acceptable for what we paid. The location is peaceful and calm, close to Fornells port, which is nice if you’re looking for a quieter stay. Being on the north side of the island means south coast beaches are a bit of a drive — around 25–30 minutes each way.Negatives: While the location is near Tirant beach, the sand is darker and there is a lot of uncleared seaweed. We also noticed ants inside the facilities. From the start, communication from reception was inconsistent and frustrating. At check-in we were told there would be no cleaning or towel changes during our 7-night stay unless towels were “very dirty.” On Tuesday, when we requested fresh bath towels, we were informed there would be a €3 charge. We also paid €6 to rent a pool towel, but this deposit was never refunded at check-out — something that had not been mentioned beforehand.Obtaining the pool towel became a repeated hassle: every time we asked, the front desk said it would be ready in a certain amount of time, but when we returned, it still wasn’t available and we were given yet another time to come back. This happened at least five times, and the towel was only given to us after several days. Strangely, on Wednesday our flat was cleaned and towels replaced without warning — despite being told earlier that this service was not included.The all-inclusive package was limited to just three meals per day with no snacks, and desserts were always the same with no variety. The bar and restaurant appeared understaffed, there was no entertainment, parking was limited, and overall the front desk staff were not particularly helpful or clear with information.   Apartment was great. Air con in both rooms which we needed Asked for ground floor near the pool because of reduced mobility (waiting for hip replacement). We were right next to the pool. Breakfast was always good with plenty to choose from. Evening meals not too great to start with but did improve towards end of the week. Hotel did get bit busier so maybe that was why. Always found something to eat. Needs more umbrellas round the pool. We were ok as hotel not too busy when we were there but could see it being a problem. There is no natural shade round the pool. All the apartments are facing the sun so full sun on patio in afternoon so not able to sit there. They should also mention that the resort is very hilly so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or pushing pushchairs. Would definitely go back but would hire a car. All the staff were great.   TRH TIRANT PLAYA IS A GEM!

  We don’t stay as have an apartment nearby. However, we always enjoy our visits here for the past 10 years; we stop for an excellent coffee. And a few hours alongside their lovely open air pool. The staff are just lovely and always make us feel welcome. Important - the restaurant/cafe / toilets are immaculate. I think people have to really be fair when leaving reviews about their stays. Apart from the obvious things like a leak etc which is unfortunate, what are they supposed to do about the weather! If you want guaranteed, with 5***** luxury, you have to pay more. Simple as that. This is a family and couples friendly hotel, in a beautiful setting, so be fair and stop expecting the earth; enjoy the great atmosphere snd local attractions.
