Location

This hotel is located directly in the leisure district of Sanxenxo, not far from the town centre (about 500 m). The hotel's surrounding area offers guests various nightclubs as well as numerous bars and restaurants. It is just 250 m from links to the public transport network. The beach is around 600 m away, Vigo's airport is located 45 km from the hotel and Santiago de Compostela Airport is 75 km away.

    We travelled in mid July with 6 and 9 year old boys. We loved it . The hotel had lots of facilities for kids , without being too “crazy” . Food was good , and very good value. Service excellent. Pool area was beautiful and the pool was lovely and warm. The retractable roof is a great idea . Kids had a “spa experience “ which they loved. We are going back next year , especially if they follow through on their plans to add slides to the pool area !!!!     Great hotel in a lovely location

    Beautiful hotel with lovely spacious rooms and plenty of facilities within walking distance of a nice beautiful beach with loads of nearby restaurants my one problem is the rooms aren’t very well equipped.     Fantastic - Worth a Visit!

    Fabulous hotel with amazing spa facilities. Staff were kind and attentive, facilities were great. Spa treatments were spectacular. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The decor could do with ‘decluttering’.Used to staying in five star hotels and Augusta surpassed expectations. To Fix: 1. The food is really bad and overpriced. Unforgivable given how good food is in Galicia. DO NOT BOOK HALF BOARD. The hotel must fix this. We went to restaurants around the area and the food was amazing. 2. Charging for delivery of room service is wrong. 3. There is a lack of staff and this is evident.4. They should not charge to play games in the playroom (darts / futbolín)5. Rooms need hooks for wet clothes!!!All this said, I loved the hotel, the spa and the people.     Excellent spa facilities and hotel rooms

    The bedrooms were very comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. They include a small kitchenette with fridge and coffee making facilities. The spa facilities were also excellent. I’ve never seen so many hydrotherapy jets and jacuzzis in one hotel. We enjoyed the sound bath, massages and floatarium. There was a daily programme of wellness activities including yoga, Pilates, sound baths etc. The staff on reception were excellent, with an efficient and friendly check in / check out. The buffet breakfast was good with a wide selection of hot, cold and wellness breakfast items. The major downside was the restaurant and bar service. There were very few staff available to serve food and drinks, so dinner service was incredibly slow despite the best efforts of the waiters / waitresses. It is a short 10 minute walk to the restaurants in town so we found this was a reliable alternative option for speedy service and a wider menu. There are restrictions around pool access for children. Accommodation in building 2 has a large pool that is accessible to 5-12 year olds. In building 1, there is a small unheated pool for 5-12 year olds (very cold water even in mid August) and an aqua play area for small children. The other pools in building 1 are exclusively for over 12s. Building 2 is better for families as it also houses the kids club, but the differences between the two buildings weren’t clear when we booked. The styling at the hotel is eclectic. It has a unique maximalist style with an incredible array of colourful props and lighting styles in every space of the hotel. We found it fun, but not a hotel for minimalists. The Augusta is primarily a spa with excellent accommodation. If it can improve its food and drink offerings, it would truly deliver on its ‘relax’ promise. More broadly, Sanxenxo has a lovely beach and lively seafront with lots of restaurants and ice cream shops.     Beautiful resort with nice relaxing spaces: swimming pools, SPA, Yoga and treatments. The hotel is incredibly well maintained and the decoration is magical. The staff super welcoming and helpful when asking for advices. The food amazing.
