This apartment hotel is located on a country estate, 50 metres from the centre of San Vicente.     A Hidden Gem in O Grove

    We found this charming little hotel by chance when we decided to leave Sanxenxo because it was way too crowded and noisy. Cons da Garda is on the highest point in San Vicente (a part of the O Grove peninsula) and has wonderful views down to the coast. But you can walk down to the beautiful beaches from the hotel or explore the O Grove area and the beautiful Toxa island by car. There are many nice hikes in the area as well. It was really hot in Galicia at the time we were there, but the Cons Da Garda rooms were really cool. The pool area and the gardens are very charming. In fact, everything about the hotel is authentic and charming. We found it is much better to stay in a less crowded place away from the beaches.     What a Little Galician Gem

    Looking for somewhere totally different on our tour of Galicia, before heading to Denmark, we came across this absolutely delightful Aparthotel. The staff were so helpful and it position was just superb. The views from the balcony were absolutely stunning and the setting was a delight. The apartment was a little small for a family of four as the second bedroom for the children was also the lounge/dining room which only had one two seater sofa and a small table with four chairs, but after a bit of re-arranging ( something I am prone to do ) we managed to make this work for us.We travelled to lots of different areas and found stunning beaches and sunsets every evening. Even though the water was very cold we all found it very refreshing and a delight to swim in such clear waves, seeing fish swimming with you was just wonderful.This was our first visit to the Galicia and we all wished we had discovered it sooner!Highly Recommended. consdagarda, Director General at Cons Da Garda Hotel & Apartments, responded to this review Thank you very much for your comments about our hotel and our service.     Much have changed since my last visit here a couple of years ago. Reformed and newly decorated rooms, an agility space for pets, and so much more. The food, of course, is just as excellent as ever. 5 points and 5 stars.     We were 2 families staying for 2 weeks on our first visit to Galicia. We booked this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We had a wonderful stay in a great little hotel with Beatriz and family making us so welcome. Clean spacious apartment with picturesque vista all round. An amazing part of the world.     Did not want to leave!

    What a great find! We bought this as a Groupon with no idea of where it was really or what it would be like.... from the moment of arrival, Beatriz was welcoming and not at all put out by my wanting to see 4 rooms before we settled on one... they were all great and each had something different to make the choice a tough one. We finally unpacked and then inquired about staying more than the 2 nights we bought, but... no luck as they were sold out. We hoped for a cancellation, but none came. :-( We enjoyed the dinner, which was a large seafood arroz/paella (more than two people could eat), great wine and wonderful service by the waitress! In the morning the buffet breakfast was good and fresh with nice choices and again our lovely waitress. I booked a manicure and pedicure which were done beautifully by Begonia! So good in fact that after we checked out, I went back the next week for a facial and a complete massage. Again, relaxing and fabulous! Hubby relaxed by the pool then and we enjoyed some afternoon tapas, before departing once again. :-( If you are in the area, stop here! Beatriz and her family will make you feel so welcome you won't want to leave. We will make this 14hr drive again just to return.There is much to do in the area and this is a great base to do it from.
