Convenient hotel near the railway station

    rating29 Nov 2024

Convenient hotel very close to the railway station and right in the city centre. Was a night stay. The room was comfy. The receptionist was very polite on my arrival. I left the premises by 7:30 the next morning but the reception was unstaffed.

Decent hotel just outside city center

    rating24 Sept 2024

Clean, modern rooms (though a bit on the small side) with comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast on the lower level. This hotel is in a zone that's accessible by car and it was about a mile walk from the area where most of the restaurants are concentrated. Normally that wouldn't be an issue but with tired feet from the Camino, we would have liked staying closer by. (Not the fault of the hotel, of course; just stating this for awareness of travelers considering staying here.) Our room did not have A/C so we slept with windows open and the street noise died down enough at night that it was workable.

    Avoid for Camino

Bathroom is in extremely poor condition with black holes and chunks out of the bathtub, dirty grout all over bathtub, shower head does not stay on easily and if it does, when the shower is stopped the shower head falls off. No ventilation in the bathroom. The door on the bathtub does nothing to prevent water from going onto the floor. No air conditioning and window opens to busy street with noise. No hairdryer. Mattress is dirty, old and uncomfortable and very concerning. Location is far from the centre. Overall, needs significant updating and would not recommend.Only good thing was the reception staff were friendly.

Very good value for the money

Galicia in autumn can be very rainy, so I prioritized proximity to the train station. But the town is small and entirely walkable. Strolling to the old town takes ten minutes.I booked directly from the hotel-chain's website, paid €41 per night and got almost everything one could wish for: a comfy bed large enough for a family of three, impeccable wifi, large bathroom, bathtub with a showerDuring hotter months, a fridge in the room could have been a good idea. But in October, this doesn't matter.

    FANTASTIC

Now this is what you call a good hotel for only 45 a night. Clean room, clean bath, heated all round. Comfortable bed, lily-white almost stiffly-starched linen. Good comfy towels. Friendly receptionist, I just wish I could stay another night but I am doing the El Camino. Sadly I can't stay. For this price and for what you get, it's a no-brainer.
