Great site right on the beach

    rating14 Nov 2024

We recently stayed at Playa y Fiesta in Spain with our motorhome, and it was a fantastic experience overall. Getting to the site can be a bit challenging with a larger motorhome, especially when crossing the train tracks, but once we arrived at the reception, everything went smoothly. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we were lucky enough to get a spot right next to the beach, so we could enjoy the sound of the waves at night—a real highlight! The site has a lovely pool with a lifeguard, adding a nice sense of safety for families. There’s a bar and restaurant that offers some evening entertainment, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. The shower block is a bit dated, but the water is warm, so it was more than comfortable. Overall, Playa y Fiesta is a great place for a beachfront motorhome stay.

    10 day apartment holiday

    rating20 Aug 2018

Admittedly this was a budget holiday and you get what you pay for! This is not a holiday for the tourist travelling in by plane and does not have access to a car.The apartment was small, basic and clean - but it did not get cleaned again during our stay. There is no kettle or toaster, with minimal cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils, but there is a 2 plate electric hob and a large fridge freezer. Bedding is supplied but not towels. We had a double bed and then a sofa bed in the living area. Our balcony overlooked the bar and pool, which was nice but there was no privacy from our neighbours. The only site shop was small selling only the basics at an expensive price which was bizarre for a self catering site in a remote location, but they did sell fresh bread and croissants daily. The site is in a remote location with an approximate 10 minute walk along a main and busy road to the nearest bus stop. The buses are infrequent and we were never sure what time one would arrive?!!!Taxis are expensive at nearly €20’s one way to both the nearest towns - Cambrils was wonderful!During our stay the electric and water was off for almost 24 hours, which was a little annoying. However this is clearly a busy and popular site. The pool was a good size and clean. It does close between 2 and 3, but this is understandable as there appeared to only one lifeguard. If sunbathing, you would need something to lay on in the surrounding grassed area as there are no sun loungers. The beach is “seconds” away and a few more minutes walk there are a couple of beach bars, parasols, sun loungers, a diving platform and lifeguard. Again be prepared to have beach accessories as there didn’t appear to be anywhere locally to buy these. The bar/restaurant is reasonably priced and was popular. The evening entertainment is wonderfully tacky and the team worked hard throughout the day with the site guests. In fact all the staff are welcoming, friendly and did their best to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a late flight and did not have to vacate our room until 1pm, which made the last day stress free and we were able to use all the amenities until we left. Would we stay again ... No, but i would imagine if you are camping you would be more prepared in making the best of what the site has to offer.

    Great staff and location

    rating16 May 2017

We were there in a campervan (autocampervan) with my wife who was very ill and we were there with family to give her the best possible life. The facilities were great and we stayed there for close to a year, very happily. The outlook is wonderful, just looking over the Med with mountains in the distance but the best thing of all was the staff who did everything they could to make our stay as great as it could be.

Overall one of the best sites in Spain

    rating12 Aug 2015

We visited this site in our motorhome on our tour of France, Spain & Portugal, this site was fantastic, we where parked right next to the beach so we heard the sound of the waves beating against the shore. The site has a fabulous pool which is open for long hours and is manned with a lifeguard, very clean pool area and they have many activities too. There is a bar and a small shop on site but we ventured out to a larger shop for supplies. The site was cleaned daily and the pitches where large. All the staff where really friendly and spoke amazingly good English. The only downside was the long walk to the toilets but we could have parked closer at the sacrifice to being by the beach. The entrance to the site can be a bit daunting especially with a large motorhome, going up and over the train tracks but thankfully we didn't do it too often. Before this site we stayed a night in a very expensive well known site nearby (La Torre Del Sol) which was absolutely terrible, and we stumbled across this site, thankfully as a result of moving from the previous, the value of the site was brilliant at €23 per night for a motorhome 3 adults and 5 children, we will absolutely be visiting this site again

    Fantastic campsite by the sea

    rating11 Aug 2015

You can park your camper or put your tent up literally by the beach. We did chose to stay just a bit deeper into site because of possible wind from the sea. But still were able to enjoy beautiful view of the sea, you can't ask for more... It's a little gem in the Tarragona Even in the end of July we were given an option to chose the plot. Site has got a small shop, bar and restaurant with very fair prices. Decent swimming pool, evening animation program in Spanish. Showers and toilets always clean but a bit too simple. It wouldn't cost too much to put toilet seats and supply toilet paper.. It's a great place to stay for relaxing camping.
