This beach hotel is situated in the tourist centre of Calafell where guests will discover scores of restaurants, bars, shops and lively night time venues. The nearest beach is just a stone's throw away (120 m) and public transport departs from stops approximately 50 m from the hotel. Barcelona is located around 60 km away and Tarragona as well as Universals Port Aventura theme park is 40 km from the hotel.

    Canada place Hotel is in a great location for an easy walk to the town or the seafront. Staff were absolutely lovely - Coped with English language in the front desk and the reception staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Some of the decor in the building is a tad old fashioned but everything is kept very clean. I saw House keepers mopping floors daily and they absolutely keep on top of everything. Balconies on the rooms that have them are kept clean and all of them are equipped with small table and chairs. Air con in the rooms we stayed in worked efficiently and the beds were comfortable. Parking in the adjacent street is free but if you want to pay for parking the hotel has a very large gated private parking space right next to the hotel.Food was buffet style loads of choice fresh daily and constantly replenished. Not poor quality and very varied. Not so vast on vegan options but easy to find plenty of vegetables etc suitable for those of us avoiding meat or dairy. Hotel bar was very typically priced for Spain ..the drinks are strong and Piña Coladas were top notch. Pool area was nice and mopped and cleaned every single day. Thank you for making our stay so easy.

    upon arrival to my room air conditioning is broke,lights were not working,could hear through the walls.One of my friends sink fell off now having to move rooms.went down for some dinner and all our partys reservated seats where taken.food is lukewarm very dated hotel.staff where very aggressive and angry but kind and calm towards spanish guests.

    Had to spend the night here due to American Airlines complete failure. Everyone here is someone stranded due to this or a screaming, poorly behaving, vulgarity yelling teen or a very loud preteen. Front desk says they have chaperones but that they do nothing. Front desk won’t either. Steer clear.

    The pros were hot water with a wonderful shower head and good air conditioning. The cons were no phone in the room, well-worn towels, a dispenser in the shower which did not want to dispense soap, noise from the traffic as well as other “guests”, and inexpensive decor. The hotel was overrun with high school/college-aged people who had no supervision to keep them from running up and down the hallway during the night. Remember no phone in the room so those who wanted to sleep could complain.

    A happy ending to an air travel nightmare

    Because of a flight cancellation, Iberia booked nearly all the passengers from this flight into this hotel. Although we arrived late in the evening, the manager had a buffet meal ready for us and then they registered us. This was appreciated by everyone. Our room was clean and comfortable. The next morning, we boarded, at various scheduled times, the same fancy, luxurious travel buses for our return trip to the airport - after having complimentary coffee.The management and personnel at this hotel went out of their way to accommodate us.
