Location

This modern hotel enjoys a central location right by Roman Tarraco, the Forum Romanum, which has been titled a world heritage site by UNESCO. Through it's excellent location, the historical centre of the city and the beautiful beach are only between 5 and 10 minutes away from the hotel. Port Aventura lies around 10 km away, one of the largest theme parks of Europe.

Facility

12 suites, 40 single rooms and 116 double rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Dreadful housekeeping service in this hotel. We had a suite on the 3rd floor overlooking big roundabout. Traffic noise not too bad. I took down bunk bed to sleep in and it was not even made up. Covered myself with bath towel to keep me warm and found 2 pillows in cupboard. Next day we went out and when we got back housekeeping had removed our big towels (which is left hanging up) and replaced with clean ones. They also took away the bathrobes which were still clean!!!My bunk bed was as I’d left it - still no sheet or cover for me. No replacement toilet paper even though it was finished! Absolutely worst housekeeping in any hotel we have stayed. Cups and glasses unwashed and no replenished coffee.This room wasnt exactly cheap! We will not be coming back.No restaurants nearbyLightbulb out in bathroomLamp didn’t work.Bed had a 1980s mattress - my husbands bad back played up after trying to sleep on it.2 small bottles water free on first night - no other freebies.

    Great location, comfortable hotel

    Stayed for two nights in August on room only basis. Room was clean, spacious and well equipped, beds were comfortable. Location of hotel is great, taxi rank and main bus station right outside and nice cafes nearby for breakfast. Very close to the shopping centre too. I am surprised by the negative reviews of this hotel as we thought it was excellent value for money.

    I really liked this hotel. It’s right next to the bus station in the centre of town so anywhere in the city can be reached easily by foot. The ramblas is just across the road with easy access to the old town and the Roman history sites. The room was huge, clean with a separate double bedroom and bunk beds for the kids. We had complimentary water and tooth brushes in the bathroom and staff were very helpful. There is some noise from outside but to be expected for a city centre hotel and it didn’t affect our sleep. Overall a great experience - we’d stay here again if returning to Tarragona.

    Stayed for a night on our road trip. Booked because of location and the 4 star rating but disappointed with the hotel.Room was ill prepared ; air-cond cannot turn on as the mains power switch was tripped and room dim as two lamps needed new bulbs. However, Staff was quick to resolve these, but should not need to for a 4 star hotel. The floor needed mopping to walk barefoot. Breakfast was good with a good spread.Overall I would rate it 3 stars for a hotel that has seen better days.

    This hotel has some good points which give it, it’s value for money, but lots which it fails for in expectations.The positive is, if you’re driving or arriving by bus, it’s centrally located, too of the Ramblas and above the bus station. It has parking at 17 a day. The reception and staff are polite and speak very good English. A 20 minute straight walk will get you to the beach and train station. The rooms are modern and spacious, with a free toothbrush kit and shower gel provided.However…the down grade are for a few reasons. The room which writes on its fridge, free water, there was none. There is no tea/coffee either to make. The gym and pool, which helps the hotel get its star rating, we’re both closed for servicing. These are services that are meant to be included in the price but failed, but there is no notice or discount to reflect the short coming.The real failing is, the hotel is based in and around a major junction and in the city. The windows are NOT sound proof and the traffic can be easily heard. The rooms adjacent can be easily heard too. I was woke at 6am by my neighbours alarm clock, which they took a good 30+60 seconds to switch off. Maybe 30 mins later, someone was knocking on what sounded like the other neighbours door, with their keycard, this went on for 5 minutes and woke my partner too. Since being awake someone is dragging their chair back and forth and can be clearly heard and very noisy. I can hear people’s voices [not clearly) in the street outsideIn summary, facility’s and expectations are not working and not being upheld. Soundproofing needs a massive improvement with windows and perhaps carpets to buffer neighbouring clients. Location is centralised dependant on your needs, but sleep and rest is difficult due to the ambient noise of the street and clients.
