Beautiful hotel! Modern and clean and we want to return.

I visited this hotel as a mum with 2 kids (dad had to work) This hotel is stunning. The price for what you get is amazing. It’s immaculate, aesthetically pleasing with all the neutral modern decor. The rooms were kept clean. The evening entertainment was really good. my teen and young child enjoyed it. The kids pool is perfect for little ones. The beach is over the road from the hotel and we used the sun-beds free of charge. There is a hotel bar at the beach but you have to pay even if you’re all inclusive. The food was good. I did have to warm my breakfast in the microwave in the mornings. beans cold. A good selection of foods. We used the snack bar daily, kids love it, ice cream machine at the bar free to use plus fizzy drinks machine to self use, (cocktail machine as well 😍 pinacoladas on tap 👏🏽 ) we are thinking of coming back this summer just me and my boys.

OK but dated hotel

Not a bad hotel but needs renovated as others have said. The TUI transfer wasn't a great start-we were left outside the former Hotel 3 (suneo) with no clue which was our hotel. It turned to be Hotel 1, the Silmar, which feels like a 1980s hotel with it's heavy wooden doors to reception. At reception, there was a wait of about 30 mins to check in and the receptionists themselves seemed deeply uninterested. The corridors are definitely from the Shining as mentioned elsewhere. Anyway to Room 1170 where we had a view of trees and the flat roof of the restaurant - also in permanent shade. Only one free socket so an extension is a definite. The canteen was ok,always busy and the food was normally lukewarm but the selection was decent and the AI wine/sangria/beer was drinkable. We hired bikes but my one decided to conk out after an hour. When we spoke to reception, they were uninterested and said it was another company we would have to ask about a refund. The pool was freezing but there were lots of sun loungers and the bar was close. The indoor pool and gym, although hard to find initially, were really good and very welcome on the last day when our checkout was 10.30am but our pick up was 5.30pm. The measures of spirits etc was generous and the self serve cocktail (although only 2 with alcohol),wine and beer was good. The picture on the TUI website is misleading-the lawns pictured have been dug up and the whole area is a building site That said the beach area was pleasant, although the hawkers were annoying. This could be a really nice hotel, good location etc but the staff are a mixed bag as is the ambience.

Just about ok

We arrived at lunchtime and luckily our rooms were ready. Went to restaurant and food looked amazing but don’t let that fool you all week we never had a hot meal it was lukewarm and at times tasteless. Breakfast was ok especially the pancakes as long as you arrived for opening. The queues for food was ridiculous sometimes nearly all the way through the restaurant surely there has to be a better system but the saving grace was the snack bar and the ice cream machine all serve yourself we loved it. The hotel is well placed for the beach and according to the kids was great but a long trek to much for me as I have mobility issues. We loved the indoor pool and the ambiance of the hotel was good. But the noisy corridors at night was a bit of a problem but that’s not the hotels fault but the actual guests. My grandchildren who we travelled with said there wasn’t much for them to do being older 10 and 11 just an arcade. I personally feel that they should’ve cut back on the paddle tennis courts and made a sport court for older kids with a football pitch and basketball etc we’ve spent many happy hours in other places where they played football and made new friends adults and kids alike. The whole place really needs a makeover especially the bedrooms and reception area. The carpet was threadbare and the corridors dark and dingy and the rooms looked old and tatty. Although we enjoyed ourselves and had fun definitely won’t return here because of the above reasons

Great hotel

What a lovely complex!!! We stayed in the apartments and they were lovely, cleaned every day. The apartments have their own pool but the only downside to this was that you would have to walk out of this area to the main hotel for drinks so a self service room would be useful. The main pool was also great and the areas very clean around it. Food was ok, large choice and got a bit repetitive after a few days but it wasn’t awful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel/apartments if you have a family. The staff were lovely, yes they seem to favour the Spanish a little more but it never caused any issues.
