Location

This beach hotel is situated in the tourist village of La Pineda, just a few metres from the beach. Guests will find a number of restaurants and bars in the hotel's vicinity, as well as shops and a range of entertainment facilities. Nightlife spots are around 400 metres away, whilst the centre of town is roughly 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. Nearby attractions include the Aquatic Park Aquopolis, which is approximately 500 metres away, and Port Aventura Theme Park, which is less than 3 km from the establishment. Public transport links are nearby and Tarragona and Barcelona are around 20 and 100 km away respectively. Reus Airport is approximately 15 km from the accommodation.

102 rooms are located on 3 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions.     My family and I spent 9 nights here over Easter, half board, and had a fantastic time. We stayed in the Superior Duplex (Ocean View) room, and the room was excellent. Spacious inside, and a huge balcony & private terrace with views of the Mediterranean Sea. I've seen reviews saying the rooms are soundproof - they generally are, except for noise of neighbours running up and down stairs.The food in the restaurant was excellent - buffet style with 4-5 different cuisines on offer each evening. Staff were very helpful, and were lovely to our 2 young children, which really made their holiday - special mention for Monica. There are some really good restaurants in La Pineda about 10 mins walk away if you fancy a change.The spa and indoor pool area was well maintained, and the kids enjoyed it. Some of the outdoor pools (including the waterslide) were not open, assume this was due to the time of year we visited, and they probably open in the summer. There was entertainment organised in the hotel every evening, and really catered for the kids as well as adults.The only downside was difficulty parking - the hotel does have an underground car park (€15 per day); which is a good idea if you want to avoid dozens of laps of La Pineda looking for a space outside.Overall - we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the hotel, great for families as well as couples. We will definitely return

    The location is right next to the beach, a short walk to other bars and shops. Right next door is a bus stop to get the Plana bus to Salou, Port Aventura etc. it’s a lot more quiet than your usual holiday hotel, which isn’t a bad thing. That being said we did visit mid October so I would imagine it to be busier during the summer. The food was excellent, loads of variety and also healthy and unhealthy options! It was a little bit of a stretch for a fussy eater in my group but that’s not the hotel’s fault. The room (twin) was huge, the shower and bath were great, the beds were super comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. All of the staff I spoke to were very nice and helpful. I’ve read the opposite on here before but I can’t see that being the case- perhaps some people are never happy?! Anyway, there was a lady in the restaurant (I think Monica) who was great, super happy and joking about with my son!The spa pool was really good to use when the outdoor pool was like an ice bath! We played padel on-site for a small deposit on the equipment. Great holiday, very nice staff, super clean hotel, nice food, good location.

    If you're looking for a holiday at this hotel I think again about it The food looks lovely but it cold me and my wife we there the only two from England every one from French & Spanish. The entertainment was also in French it's one of the worst hotels we stay in I am i in wheelchair the room wasn't suitable no hand railsThe shower was far to small and before you enter the bathroom it goes in a slope.

    Stayed in Gran Palas for ten days and 9 nights and it was one of the best experiences my boyfriend and I have had. We were blessed with the weather as September can be unpredictable but it was the best time to go. The cleanliness of the hotel and it’s facilities were immaculate, the food was devine with a great selection of choice. The staff blew us away with how helpful, interactive and friendly they all were. From the reception staff, to the restaurant staff, to the bar staff, everyone was absolutely amazing. Have to give a special shoutout to the bar staff Celyne and Laura who were so friendly and attentive, remembering us and our orders, genuinely going the extra mile for us. As well as a massive thank you to Paola and Alejandro who genuinely made our holiday so much better! They were so friendly and interactive! Alejandro made sure we were always included as English speakers when activities were going on throughout the day (which there were so many activities to do!)He would stop and talk to us even if activities weren’t going on, lunch and out and about which made it that more special. He is an absolute credit to the hotel and his energy is contagious!Will definitely be back again😁Thank you to everyone!
