  Don't bother you will regret it

  We haven’t been impressed with this hotel overall. The rooms are always really clean, but the food and restaurant setup let the whole experience down. The food is repetitive every night with very little variety, and there simply aren’t enough food stations for the number of guests. This leads to long queues, made worse by the fact that the tables are placed far too close to the stations, making the dining area feel cramped and chaotic. Items run out constantly and take far too long to be replaced.The staff often seem overwhelmed or annoyed, and there never appears to be enough of them to keep things running smoothly. Several times we were told there was no beer or no Fanta because machines were broken or stock had run out.It’s also disappointing that an all‑inclusive hotel doesn’t provide bottled water in the rooms, even though there’s a fridge. You’d expect at least basic water to be available.To top it off, our all‑inclusive access was removed the moment we checked out, despite our transfer not arriving for another eight hours. We’ve never experienced that at any other all‑inclusive hotel, and it really left a bad final impression.

  Hotel ok food terrible hotdogs, chips, burger & pizza every single day!

  We booked this hotel for the free tickets to PortAventura World and an all inclusive option as I am a single parent and didn’t want to be worrying about food costs. The night we arrived we went to the restaurant and having found the kids buffet with chicken nuggets, chips, pizza and pasta we then looked for the adults buffet and there wasn’t one that food was the only food. Every night it was the same - adverts promised a different theme every night but it was always the same apart from the Mexican night when we did find something to eat but it was far from enjoyable. Breakfast is the best meal so we filled up on that and the pool snack bar was open 11-7pm serving burgers, hotdogs, pizza and chips these were actually better than what was in the restaurant as we knew they were freshly cooked! The lady in the pool bar deserves a medal she was so busy and never moaned just got on with it! We didn’t even bother going to the restaurant every night it was so bad and the nights we did go we still ended up walking to McDonald’s or Taco Bell for something after. I hadn’t budgeted to eat out so it was a nightmare. The pool, cocktails and hotel location were good but the food really let it down. Also no music around the pool which was a first for me so the atmosphere was a bit flat and we decided to head to the beach instead. When we arrived it was late and we also had a late flight back but reception insisted on taking our wristbands on check out and refusing to let us have any drinks even though we did not make use of the all inclusive on the first day as we arrived so late. One lady asked for a small Coke before they removed her wrist band and she was told no which I thought was really bad considering most people spend a fortune outside of the hotel buying food anyway because the food was so bad. I won’t be returning to this hotel and I wouldn’t recommend because of the food go somewhere else unless you can live on hotdogs, burgers, chips and pizza ….

  Me and my family did a 7 day holiday here and can't fault anything with the hotel food was a different theme each night, pool snack bar was amazing with chips, chicken nuggets, pizza and burgers, mini disco at night for kids and entertainment throughout the day all the entertainers were amazing but omar one of the kids entertainers just stood out more and was absolutely amazing with the kids and his sense of humour was spot on, rooms and hotel in general were lovely and clean, helpful and polite staff, we did the theme park which kids loved and the water park which again kids loved but hubby couldnt do anything as they said he was in wrong clothes think they just wanted to make money from us tbh being nit picky I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely come back.

  Location is fine Hotel very clean thats where it stops.Arrived very late after midnight on an all inclusive told resturant shut given key to room no water in it no food put aside for the kids . Breakfast ok nothing special Lunch same again nothing special hard to find something for kids to each not kid friendly at all .Evening meal ok you have to queue for table fair enough but then you have to queue around people that are sat eating for your food the staff seem on a go slow to replenish whats there very little choice for adults no choice for kids . Food very sub standard.Bar only 1 bar tender so big queue as only 1 bar .As a 4 star hotel would of expected better and as part of port adventrua would of expected more .wont waste your money to stay here

  IN MY OPINION - Disappointing to say the least. Positives:RoomsRooms are nice and spacious- room air con worked a treat . we had a top floor pool side view. The showers are spot on and beds very comfortable Location: spot on for shops bars and beach all 10min walk - the illumination fountain are on every night from 10pm for about 15 mins, was quite amazing. One to not miss .. Visited house of illusions with dinner, had chicken legs and chips and endless wine and sangria, show was average for €45 per ticket.Negatives: Rooms- Chambermaid service very hit and miss, had to call down to reception one day as they left no towels. Restaurant - food was below average, very low and seems on a budget. Not a lot to choose from. Spent all holiday eating out costing us a small fortune. The staff are so slow like a wind up toy they need winding up, Bar area- Well what can I say, the majority of the time a poor lady working on her own making the service very slow, however she was probably the only member of staff to be polite. The ‘ ALL INCLUSIVE’ food corner is less than desirable. The same pizza slices, hot dogs, mozerella sticks and burgers that never looked cooked or appetising. The drinks are so watered down there’s no chance of getting merry A waste of time going all inclusive Pool area - was nice the pools was a nice temperature and more than enough sun beds all round . Entertainment : Didn’t see much of the entertainment in the evenings as we were out every night for meals and drinks so won’t comment. Overall: The hotel is quite standard for 4 *, no air con throughout so in 30c heat it was uncomfortable, not much positivity from local bars when mentioned staying here. Which makes me think a lot of people that have stayed here have not been happy. I would definitely recommend the location 100% and would definitely return but never would I stay here again and puts me off staying at any other Medplaya hotel.
