one night stay does just as it says

    rating07 Dec 2019

one night stay on our Andaluchia trip, room was comfortable and roomy, if a little dated, we had a top floor room and access could be a problem if old or infirm, out door stair case then a few more steps. we arrived early in a storm, the cleaner checked us in and we didnt see any other staff during our stay. there is a small bar, cafe area but presumably because it was off season this seemed to be closed. at breakfast time there we a few people in, but we ate breakfast at a market stall close by. parking could be a problem in season. otherwise good value adequate stay.

    Truly a gem

After a long drive through the beautiful countryside we arrived at the charming city of Carmona. The hotel is located on a quaint square and I took many walks enjoying great views of the countryside. The hotel itself has old Roman ruins beneath it. The rooms were individually decorated and and either looked out over the square or the inner courtyard. My room was bright with a very comfortable king bed with lots of pillows. The shower was great and the WiFi worked well. In the morning we had excellent coffee. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back!

    Nightmare Check In

    rating23 Nov 2019

A lovely hotel in lovely town but the lady at the reception desk was difficult & not welcoming. The booking was made on my phone via Booking.com & had been paid for prior to arrival. She would not give me the room until I produced a voucher from my "travel agent". I did not use an agent & had all the evidence of the booking on my phone. After an hour of waiting at reception & desperate for a room I offered to pay again but with cash. Oh no, that would not do & then I got a lecture about Brexit causing all these problems. I pointed out that while I spoke English I was not British. Then she just gave me a key. So... frustrating.

    3 1/2 * - good

This hotel is situated at Plaza San Fernando where there is a lot of life during daytime since there are a lot of bars here.I requested a "quiet room" so I got a room facing a little yard away from the noise from the plaza - good. Never the less when other guests are entering/leaving their room You will hear that.Room was fine with an ok bed, bathroom, air conditioning and wifi.
