  Good, but not great.

  We went up for a long weekend to do some wine tasting,etc. Our room was clean and spacious but although it was a suite the amenities in the room were lacking. There were only two sets of towels, no glasses or any other utensils in the wet bar area except some paper cups for the coffee maker. The room faced the freeway and was noisy so pick a room that is facing away from the freeway (an even numbered room would work). The breakfast was nothing to rave about. The fruit was overripe bananas and apples. I would like to see a healthier choice of fruit and yogurt (not flavored Yoplait, but some plane Greek yogurt would be better. Staff was pleasant and helpful. One thing that was great was that it was a block away from the Firestone restaurant which allowed our dog inside and had very good food and service! Also, had a potty area for the dogs which is appreciated.   Great Solid Stay

  I ALWAYS ENJOY my stay in Hampton Inn as this is brand us consistently provide great overall guests comfort from room, common areas, parking to complimentary breakfast. I am it a big fan of pancakes but when it comes to waffles and the mini waffles machine really made me happy. Full breakfast buffet with no cut fruits but fresh fruits like bananas, green and red apples. Green and Red Apples seem to be served all day long along with all day coffee and hot water in the lobby sitting area. This is a thumb up indeed all around for those of us who wanted coffee and/or hot water during the stay. Highly recommend this place for an overnight stay in Solvang.   Great hotel with little touches

  Great hotel that exceeded my expectations with friendly service and little touches that made our stay more comfortable. Front desk was friendly. Breakfast had a good variety with eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, DIY waffles, muffins, bagels, and more. They may need to hire more help though because the workers seemed busy trying to replenish some hot food items. I enjoyed being able to eat our dinner, which we got from a nearby restaurant, in the hotel’s dining area. The dining area had decaf coffee and hot water for tea or hot chocolate during dinner time. The lobby had cold water. Parking was plentiful. Although we didn’t use the pool or outside seating, it seemed nice and pretty out there. Housekeeping is only every other day unless you request otherwise. We were fine with it. My only negative comment would be the toilet paper holder was broken so that it would fall off every time we tried to get some toilet paper. I would definitely stay there again.   One of the best Hamptons I've stayed.

  I stopped at this HI unplanned as it was too late to get to my final destination. Easy to spot off the freeway, well-lit and ample parking. Decor was classic current look and feel though overall the downstairs seemed larger, spacious breakfast and lounging areas. My room also was a bit bigger and didn't hear any neighbors. The two gentlemen - 1 later eve and 1 day - were cheery and helpful. The breakfast array was well stocked and kept clean as I was on the latter time window. What I loved most was the outside area. So many areas to sit and all felt up to date. The pool was large enough for reasonable laps and hot tub worked just fine. I could easily see a group or family hanging outside in cooler weather.   A Triumphant Return

  Was graciously greeted at front desk by Shaun- thank you Shaun. I was able to pre select an poolside view room on the 3rd floor (no matter what floor you are on try to get an even numbered room). I was able to get early check in and had time to sit outside and watch an a sundry of wildlife that is adjacent to property. They also have a nice pool and fire pits so take advantage.Room was great (very quiet), ac was quiet, bed was very comfortable and room as well as bathroom were spotless. Nice breakfast (especially waffles and egg white omelette). I was glad to be back at one of my favorite hotels when I visit Buelton.
