    Disappointment

    rating21 Jun 2021

Highly recommended by a travel friend, turned out to be a total disappointment: dirty WC (no paper and open bin), clocked up shower, only 1 sink in female santitation; rooftop terrace only opens at 4PM (no morning yoga😢), cramped room, with broken lockers, dust, no ceiling light but Ikea lampthings AND a sensor light which switched on a nighttime when I simply turned around on top bunk bed, total inflexibility cancellation or simply changing dates, seemingly cashing in relying entirely on volunteers instead of paid staff, even in dire economic times. Good location, friendly volunteer staff

    Shabby chic??

I had made a booking and was very clear in subsequent contact that I would be arriving after midnight. I was told that this would not be a problem. On arrival the door was locked and no amount of ringing could gain me access. Luckily, eventually some people left and I was able to get in. But there was nobody to tell me where I was to sleep. I hunted around for a phone number in reception and found a couple - neither of which answered - and finally by poking around on the reception desk I found a piece of paper with my name and a room name and a bed number on it. Next stop a shower - but the shower and toilet facilities are very shabby and I didn't at any time find soap in the dispensers (despite the Covid-19 pandemic) or toilet paper in the toilets. There was evidence of there having been toilet paper (the cardboard rolls) but never the paper itself. The kitchen is nice enough, and the staff (when they appeared the following day) were pleasant and helpful too - just not present when I arrived. I was booked for two nights and was glad to leave the place. I subsequently left on the Camino, and I did stay in other hostels, but this one was a stand-out in respect of the poor bathroom facilities.

Artistic hostel in Seville city center

    rating26 Dec 2019

I enjoyed my stay at Kitsch Art Hostel and would definitely stay there again in the future! It was only minutes away from La Giralda as well as other restaurants and attractions. It's reasonably priced and clean. My friend and I stayed in a 4-bed shared room for two nights and overall had a great experience.

    Good location, otherwise avergae

    rating06 Nov 2019

Kitsch Art Hostel was in a great location - 3 min walk to Alcazar, Catedrale, also close to Placa de España and other city sights. Other than its location and the bag storage after check out, the hostel was very average. Some issues encountered...- food taken from fridge despite name and check out date written on it as requested- staff taking unused food out of bins in rooms- terrace closes at 11pm, however told to be quiet otherwise they would shut the terrace early shortly after 10pm - no hot water for three days - not allowed to wash clothes yourself in hostel, can get fined 30€ if you get caught, only alternative provided is a 8€ cleaning service that takes 36 hours to be returned - no showering after 11:30pm, however no time is stated when you can use the showers again- rattly beds, dirty sheets and pillowcases that don’t fit pillows - not enough keys to accommodate every guest in the roomOverall fine if you are just looking for a short stay to explore key sights, but would not recommend in general.
