Location

This hotel lies right on the steep coastline of southwest Tenerife, around 250 m from the centre of Los Gigantes and a small beach. Public transport connections are located around 100 m away. The Tenerife South Airport is just 45 km away.

Facility

23 junior suites, 4 single rooms and 377 double rooms are located on 9 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Air conditioning and adjustable central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. The outdoor area features 2 pools. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis and golf are available. Water sports available at the hotel include water skiing, sailing, catamaraning, snorkelling, diving, water aerobics and aquafit. The hotel offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, darts, yoga, callisthenics, aerobics and pilates or, for a fee, billiards. A range of wellness facilities, such as a spa, a hammam and a beauty salon, are offered at the hotel. For a fee, guests can also take advantage of a sauna, a steam bath and massage treatments. The hotel offers an entertainment programme for adults.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant with air conditioning, a breakfast room, a café, a bar and a lobby bar. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for lunch and dinner). Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes, lactose-free food and vegan food can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. The drinks menu includes a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as international brands.

    Had a great week in this lovely hotel. We had a room with terrace and hot tub, high up so had brilliant views. Staff, food, entertainment and hotel were all excellent. Along with the regular salads, meats, cheeses on the buffet there was fresh seafood and meats cooked continuously with a different theme every night. There was literally something for everyone. Our room and all areas of the hotel were spotless and the staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again!

    Barcelo Santiago is an excellent hotel. Rooms are spacious and we had a room with a sea view which had a decent sized balcony overlooking the sea. The buffet restuarant had a good variety of food to suit all tastes. The pool area was very nice and well laid out. The service in the bars was amazing and had a great selection of branded drinks. Frexinet wax a favourite. The evening entertainment was excellent with good shows every night. There was strong winds when we there and this meant the terrace part of the buffet restuarant had to be closed for 5 days of our stay. Overall would highly recommend and all staff were very helpful and patient. Excellent stay.     I can’t say enough about this amazing hotel! I came from America which is a long way to come but I love staying here so much that the trip is worth every minute! The service is amazing and I want to call out Caroline at the front desk as well as Kevin in the pool bar and restaurant, Edwin in the pool bar and restaurant and Berra at the restaurant! They were all amazing and I can’t thank them enough for helping to make my vacation perfect! The hotel is located I. The most beautiful part of Tenerife and the nearby village is also wonderful. Many great restaurants and fun bars. The beds here are super comfortable and the views from the balconies are one in a million! You will not be disappointed I promise!     Buffet food is never going to be perfect, it is mostly very good, there is lots of choice so you can always find something you like. Breakfast is excellent.Comfortable beds, small heated pool, spacious sun bed area, quiet through out except when occasional entertainment at pool, helpful staff.Short walk to next village, or longer coastal walk.Great value for money.
