Location

This apartment complex is located in the south of Tenerife, in the outskirts of Playa de las Americas and very close to the golf course. Public transport is located just a stone's throw from the hotel. In addition, an inviting sandy beach and the resort centre and its many shops, restaurants, bars and cultural venues are all within 1 km of the hotel.

Facility

The apartment hotel was modernised in 2023. The hotel welcomes guests in a 3-storey building with a lift and 206 apartments. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include a complimentary babysitting service, medical assistance, a transfer service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and a fan ensure comfortable indoor temperatures. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (for a fee) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked. 199 family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can strike that perfect balance between exercise and relaxation in one of the 2 outdoor pools. The freshwater pool complex (in part heated) also includes a children's swimming area. The pool area also includes a hot tub (for a fee), a waterslide and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. Those who wish to stay active while on holiday can enjoy on-site cycling/mountain biking. For a fee, golf is also available. Water sports available at the apartment hotel include windsurfing, banana boat rides, sailing, catamaraning, kayaking, diving and aquafit. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, table tennis and billiards. Guests of the hotel can pamper themselves with spa treatments and facilities in the wellness area. Services include a spa and massage treatments or, for a fee, a beauty salon.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant (with high chairs), a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and all-inclusive. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests serve themseves at the buffet or choose their preferred fare from the menu (for lunch and dinner). Vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers snacks. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction. The apartment hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Stayed 5 nights in this resort. We were all inclusive. As noted by other reviews there are many steps both in the grounds and in the rooms! The steps in the room are narrow and could be dangerous. Apart from this the rooms are spacious and well equipped. We contacted the hotel ahead based on reviews asking for a low room due to mild mobility issues and this was granted which we really appreciated.Resort was spotless and staff efficient and friendly. We were all inclusive and found the food satisfactory with a wide choice. The evening meals were themed - the Canarian evening had least choice for us but the salad bar was always fresh and plentiful.We arrived at night and weren’t impressed with check in. No one to help with bags and some info but we arrived in room and had not been advised about card for lights. We got off to a bad start but things settled after a good nights sleep. The resort is remote and the walk to town is not pleasant. The resort bus is useful but only goes once a day. Overall we had a nice time in the sun. We got a good deal and think we got what we wanted a restful stay. Would we return - probably not (somewhere more central next time) but thank you to all the staff who work so incredibly hard.     Just got home from our week stay here with a 7 year old boy, 3 year old girl. There was nothing I could fault with the hotel. We stayed half board and they included drinks for us with our meals. Good selection of drinks and breakfast was good. Every night had a different cuisine and there was always something suitable for everyone and my son is a picky eater. Good selection of food and tasty. There never really was a queue to the restaurant neither.All the pools were heated! Even on a windy day, we could all swim and not be cold. I am 5ft2 and just about able to keep my head above water in the big pool but my kids could swim so pool was perfect.Hotel is very clean. I noticed the toilets were warm, therefore going to the toilet after being in the pool wasn't too cold. We never had a problem getting a sunbed right next to the pools. The closest beach was around 25 min walk which we didn't mind, but there are taxi's and a drop off available. We all had a lovely time here and would definetely recommend.     Lovely hotel, rooms, facilities and the staff are brilliant. Good selection of food and drink.Flew late the day we checked out but all facilities were still available to us. 20 mins from Las Americas and Costa Adeje but taxis there in seconds.     We have been coming to the gran oasis for over 10 years .     Fantastic week at Gran Oasis Resort.

    Whilst at the Gran Oasis Resort, Tenerife, we had a fantastic week enjoying the food, swimming, activities, and entertainment in the evening. Carlos, Alva and the animation team worked so hard to make the stay fun. We had a surprise when we discovered our room was an apartment and had a separate bedroom for our son, which in the past we have all shared one room. We enjoyed the Siam water park which was a 10 min coach journey (laid on free by the hotel). We never visited the nearest town as it was a bit of a walk in the heat.
