  Located near motorway and next to a shipping centre. Plenty of parking. Rooms clean, functional. Shower a little weaker than I would like.Has air conditioning but it is not adjustable. This place is a means to some other end. We were there for a local event.   Great hotel to explore Switzerland by car.

  Great hotel to explore Switzerland by car. We stayed 3 full days and drove from Germany. We visited Gruyère (day 1, by car). Lucerne/Mt Pilatus (day 2, by train) and Grindelwald (day 3, by car). All destinations were about an hour drive or so away, but the hotel is tucked away from the touristy places, so prices are not crazy and drives were very pleasant and picturesque. There is a mall right next to the hotel. Stores are nothing special, a couple of restaurants there but they seemed quite expensive. There is a Turkish place about 2 min drive from the hotel and this was where we got our dinners from. Great food and affordable. We stayed in a family suite and had a table with chairs, a fridge and a microwave, which were all super helpful as we traveled with kids. I don’t know if all other rooms had those as well. Parking was free but it would fill up during the week with the mall shoppers. A bus that takes you to a train station stops outside of the hotel. One way trip cost us 20 Swiss Francs (to the train station where we got on a train to go to Lucerne). Next to Migros there is a yellow ATM that didn’t charge us withdrawal fee (with our American card). A bus was the only place where we used cash, everywhere else we paid by card. There is a basic continental breakfast at the hotel, which was just fine for me and kids but didn’t satisfy my husband. The breakfast had deli meats, cheeses, breads, etc but nohot food like eggs and sausages/bacon. You will need a Swiss adaptor for your electronics at the hotel if you are traveling from the US/Europe. You can get one from front desk for 50 Swiss Franc deposit (I don’t know how many they have). There was 1 or 2 USB ports in our room but none of themWorked 🤷🏼‍♀️)I would recommend this hotelFor your stay and we will stay here again if we are ever back in the area.   I have stayed in Holiday Inn Express before and they have been fine. This one is amazing, stylish, super clean and Lesley on reception is amazing-nothing too much trouble!   On our way from Italy to the Netherlands we stayed in the familyroom/suite. Great place. Room is good (everything new and very clean).Good parking, supercharger for electric car in front, Excellent service from the reception.Next time we take the same hotel!   RACIST AND RUDE STAFF

  The waitress named “El” at the breakfast buffet was extremely rude and racist. She literally snatched the cheesefork from my hands, and the manager instead of taking the complaint, supported here. The hotel rooms were very clean and nice but the staff really need to learn manners.
