  Budget hotel worth staying in

  I would highly recommend this hotel, the room was spotless, had everything you needed. A 30 minute walk from the train station, or there was a bus & tram stop just outside the hotel. It is literally across the road from the SC Bern arena. Only stayed the one night but would have happily stayed for a week. The bed was comfortable, the shower was powerful and a good temperature. Reception staff very friendly. Had seen some very mixed reviews so was worried, no need to worry. Will definitely stay again, great value. Have stayed in easyjet room and it is double the size of it.

  How Awful - find the money and stay elsewhere!

  We really didn’t enjoy our stay here. Of course, Switzerland is expensive and Bern as the capital is no exception; but we foolishly booked here, as it came up as the cheapest place to stay in the area. Please don’t make that mistake.The hotel is one of those new modular builds, with the Ibis Budget on floors 10-12. The room is incredibly and dismally basic, without a kettle, Aircon, stripped of any luxuries. The toilet was akin to going in a cupboard. What irritated me the most other than the lack of warmth and hospitality, was the draconian attitude towards breakfast. One can choose from a 19f “hot” buffet breakfast, or a 14f cold breakfast. Both are awful, with the only difference being over-cooked scrambled eggs, a waffle machine and really greasy bacon. Both breakfast floors are policed ardently, and on many occasions we were sharply interrogated, in order to accretion whether we had paid for the correct breakfast.If you are used to youth hosteling, then maybe this will be up your street, but after 4 nights in an overly stuffy room, with a window that opens by only 2 inches for a breeze, I’m. Looking forward to my own bed.Don’t make the same mistake as us, and pay more for comfort and warmth, civility and luxury.

  The hotel and service are beyond praise! Very kind and helpful staff! I want to say a special huge thank you to Faruk and Anastasia. Thanks to them, we felt at home. The hotel is located close to the old town. Convenient transportation links. I highly recommend this hotel, you will not regret it! We will definitely come back here.

  It is a budget hotel and that's what you get. I had a small double room which was fine for me as a single. My cousins shared a similar size room and had no issues with it. There is a wash hand basin in the room and a separate toilet and walk in shower both of which were quite small. No USB ports, safe fridge or air conditioning. Reception staff were very helpful.The hotel is just next to the tram stop and it is a relatively short journey into the city centre.The Young Boys of Bern football stadium is nearly and contains a shopping centre along with a couple of restaurants.   Plugs are a big problem. Charging your device is a challenge. There is only one plug in the room in an inconvenient location. Also it is a poor design in a thick casing. Some travel adapters don't fit. An inexpensive power bar would solve the problem There is no hair dryer in room. One can be requested for a 20 euro deposit but there are no plugs near bathroom. Cannot see your hair in mirror while styling it. Very small towels.Breakfast is very expensive.Shower door is clear so no privacy.Odd for a room for three people. Have to go to the bar for ice.
