Location

This city hotel is located in the middle of the commercial and cultural district of Geneva, just 250 m from the splendid Lake Geneva. The business hotel is accessible from Geneva's main train station by bus or a 12-minute walk. Thanks to its ideal location between the lake and international organisations, the hotel is ideal for business, diplomatic and leisure travellers. Lausanne is approximately 63 km from the business hotel and the airport is only a 15-minute drive away.

Facility

The hotel has 70 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Further services include a 24-hour security service, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Complimentary newspapers are available. A fax machine is on hand for guests' business and communication needs.

Rooms

Individually adjustable heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. The rooms have a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a mini fridge. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Fine weather can be enjoyed on the terrace.

Various dining options are available, including a breakfast room and a bar. Bed and breakfast is offered as a catering option. A generous breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. Special meals, including vegetarian dishes, are also available.

    Modern, clean and comfortable only a 10 minute walk from the railway station and 5 minutes to Lake Geneva. Great breakfast and lots of options locally for food and drinks. Highly recommend if you are looking to stay in Geneva.     Lovely hotel, great location, great staff.I think while the prices are high for any visitors from European countries that is linked to the exchange rate and is the same for all hotels and restaurants in Geneva.Some of the positives:Free Geneva public transport pass. Emailed to customers the day before so can be used from arrival into airport.Location is right beside a very important Tram line 15 so easy connection to main train station and UN. Close to lake front.Plenty of restaurants close by, all within walking distance.Got a small room upgrade for free so appreciate that. Nice room.Lovely views for rooms overlooking street/side view of lake.Lots of English speaking TV channels - best of any European hotel I stayed in.Can get fresh croissants for CHF2 from front desk each morning.Suggestion: breakfast was very expensive so maybe a smaller express type offering might work.Would definitely stay here again and happy to recommend Direction_DL, at Hotel Drake Longchamp, responded to this review Dear Garrett,Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed and positive review on Tripadvisor.     Gem near Lake Geneva

    Great location. Walking distance to the lake, restaurants, SBB train station, bus depot etc. Trams take you everywhere, all the tourist attractions and to the old city we went by boat. The hotel gave us Geneva Travel Card which gives free rides by bus, tram and the little boat taxi. Food at the buffet breakfast was good. Excellent service from front desk. Olga 1, 0lga2 and Alex. They helped with check-in, maps, suggested eateries and made checkout a breeze. Thanks to Olgas and Alex. We need more Olgas.     I stayed 2 nights at the hotel and can thoroughly recommend. My room was spacious, fully equipped and comfortable. Great breakfast. Hotel was easy to get to from the station, just 2 stops on the tram. All staff were especially helpful, making it a very pleasant stay.     Good - But Check the Traveller Pictures for Accuracy

    Stayed at this hotel for a more affordable option as there were so many other hotels but at quadruple the price. I just want to say - go by the Traveller pictures for this hotel - it is 100% not like the pictures they show. It's basic but clean - and definitely quittteeeee old - with an old lift and old carpet - but its fine to just put your head down, shower and leave, which is what we did|!
