  Wonderful hotel to stay in Chiang Mai

  I always stay at Winner Inn when I go to Chiang Mai. It's a beautifully clean hotel and all the staff are lovely and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It's also in a fantastic location. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Chiang Mai.

  We stayed at the Winner Inn for 3 nights while part of a tour of 18 people. Check in went quickly and smooth. The front end staff was not overly friendly. There was an on site restaurant that was only ever open for breakfast. But there was always people in there. They did let us bring out own food to eat in there one night as long as we cleaned up out whole mess. Which was fine we would have never left a mess for someone else to clean up.The elevator was small but did fit about 4 guest and their suitcases. There was also a very tall, steep set of stairs. The floors all squeak very loudly. Didn't really bother us until late at night when the party crowds were coming back. The walls were also paper thin so you heard everything and I mean everything. We had a very large weird shape room. The fridge was not plugged in and had nothing in it. The tv was there not plugged in but did not work well. The bed was very soft (I prefer to firm over to plush) but still slept good. The what should have been a fitted sheet did not cover the bed (see pictures). We called the front desk they said we had to come get a new one or we had to switch hotels (really good service hey). We went and picked it up and it had a huge hole in it. Called again, did the same thing. This time it was another double sheet so we just put it on so it covered the end that was sticking out. The room was very basic and plain. It was actually very clean minus the one dead bug that was on the floor. The bathroom looked like it had seem better days. The shower was nothing special. The walls looked dirty but I think it is because they didn't use the proper grout for being in a wet space. Good luck getting warm water. It took me 15mins to get it warm. The toilet seat isn't the right style for the type of toilet it is (see pictures). No shampoo or conditioner. AC worked great. It is in an okay location. It is on a quiet back alley. If I were to come back to Chiang Mai I would look for something in an even better location. There was one restaurant on the street and the food was horrible. Even walking to the Main Street a few blocks away didn't really seem to have many restaurants. We started ordering from GrabFood (Transportation grab app) which got us some amazing food from all over the town. There was a 7-11 on the Main Street where we got snacks one night and shampoo & conditioner. Best of luck if you decide to stay here.

  A little out of the way and not in the ideal location for Chaing Mai walkabouts.But after reading some reviews here i was wondering what have i let myself in for.Stayed 2 nights, room was clean and comfortable, bathroom perfect and change of bed linen and towels.Breakfast was simple and filling.A bit away from the main drag but i needed the walk :)For the price I cannot complain, everything we needed. Basic review for a basic hotel but I would recommend and would stay again.

  The worst hotel ever

  the experience at this hotel is to forget. The room all dirty, the bathroom disgusting. one of the beds without sheets, the wardrobe suits should never have been cleaned. the restaurant is disgusting, full of ants going over the food. One of the employees was completely arrogant. This place should be closed.

  I would recommend staying anywhere else.. my boyfriend and I stayed for three nights and were woke up every night multiple times due to the large quantity of roosters outside our windows. The rooms were relatively clean however one day the cleaners came in to clean our room, we went to get in the shower before bed to discover we had no towels and when we went to get in bed realized we had no blankets either. When we called to get blankets we were given sheets with rips down the middle...The ladies at the front desk would never call a cab for us when we asked, even at 3am when we were trying to get to the airport for a flight. They made us wake the streets and find a taxi on our own. Their breakfast for an unnecessary price consisted of 1 sausage and 2 eggs ..Overall, lived through the experience but would 10/10 would not recommend.
