    My experience at Lanta Lapaya Resort was nothing short of a nightmare, marking it as a place I would strongly advise against staying. My booking consisted of two rooms for a week-long stay, which quickly turned disastrous. One room was completely infested with ants, while the other was a breeding ground for mice, evident from the mice droppings that kept appearing even after thorough cleaning. The weak air conditioning in room B09 paled in comparison to the horror of hearing mice scurrying around and seeing their droppings reappear day after day.Our requests to change rooms (B09 and B10) were flatly denied, leaving us with no choice but to endure three unbearable nights before we were compelled to flee for better accommodations. The hotel manager's attempt to blame us, citing the "do not disturb" sign as a reason for their inability to clean, was ludicrous. The pre-existing condition of our rooms upon arrival made it clear that this issue was far from a result of our actions. The presence of such a significant number of ants and mouse droppings is absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances.In the end, we received a meager partial refund equivalent to just three nights' stay, a gesture that only further highlighted the appalling level of service provided by this establishment. Had I been in the position of the hotel manager, I would have issued a full refund without hesitation for such a grievous lapse in basic hygiene and customer care. It's terrifying to even contemplate the state of their kitchen if our rooms were in such a deplorable condition. Never in any of my travels have I encountered such a neglectful and unsanitary environment. My rating for Lanta Lapaya Resort is an unequivocal zero.

    Was so impressed with this place - lovely, clean and spacious bungalow, great pool and superb food. The staff were lovely too. Just wish I could have stayed longer - I can see why people extend their stay on the island! Will definitely return one day.

    Lovely resort minutes walk away from Klong Khong beach. Nice clean room and good food. The garden outside my bungalow was very nice and peaceful to look out on. The pool was great. The staff were always very helpful and arranged a snorkelling trip for me to koh ha and koh rok which was an amazing day. Thank you to all at Lanta Lapaya for making my stay a great experience.

    Though this resort is not at the beach, however, not too far from the beach either. Clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and courteous staff makes this place unique. One of my best stay at Thailand, so far. I visited Koh Lanta after staying a couple of nights at Phi Phi, and it was an welcome change. In August end, I have not seen many tourists here and therefore it’s not crowded. While speaking with locals, I have been explained that it is not one of the most sought after tourist destination. If one really wants to enjoy good food, traditional Thai life, not on the tourist map location, May be this is the place.
