    Nice little hotel

    rating25 Mar 2026

We stayed at the hotel for a week. We arrived from the UK after a 12 hour flight and a 2.5 hour transfer from Phuket airport to a warm welcome and our room being ready early (which was a nice bonus!) The room was a good size and clean. Only five hangers in the wardrobe and no shelves to put your clothes, which is one of the reasons I have marked the hotel down a star. We ended up leaving our clothes in the suitcase. The bed was firm, as was the pillow. We slept okay, but this may be an issue for some. Filtered water provided everyday for free, which was nice. The other reason I have marked the hotel down a star is the shower. It was clogged with limescale, which made it difficult to wash my hair. I only have fine, shoulder length hair but couldn’t get the shampoo/conditioner out, so found it still tacky/greasy after washing. Housekeeping was good, although the sink counter wasn’t cleaned whilst we were there, which was disappointing.Breakfast was good; eggs, omelettes, fresh fruit, bread etc. A small selection but fine for us.The pool area isn’t great. The sun loungers were closely packed together and uncomfortable. They were often all taken by 9/10am and then in the shade from around 1pm onwards. The swim up rooms appear to be in the shade most of the day. I’d have been very disappointed if I’d paid extra for one. The location of the hotel is great - on a busy side street with lots of restaurants and a 7-11. A short walk to the beach and night market etc.We booked a trip through recreation to Hong Island. We only went to three of the four places advertised and our captain didn’t speak any English, so it was hard to communicate. For this reason, I wouldn’t book any trips via the hotel. Overall, a nice little hotel but I have marked it down a star due to the shower, lack of storage in the room and the pool.

Great Little Hotel in Good Location

    rating14 Mar 2026

If you are flying into Phuket, the transfer (on a mini bus with all-important aircon) is about 2.5 hours, with a stop after about an hour. You can pop into 7-11 there but don't use the neighbouring toilets, they're like a scene from a budget horror film. The drive is scenic, with elephants, temples, statues, archways and limestone formations. When we arrived at the Apasari, after an 11-hour flight, the organised chaos of Phuket Airport and the 2.5 hour transfer, we were met by the reception staff with smiles, bows, chimes of "Sawasdee ka" and a cold glass of white guava juice (one of my favourites in Thailand, how did they know?!). After a quick check-in, where we were told we had an upgrade (not sure why but great!), we were taken up in the lift to our room on the fourth floor. The room was huge, with the bathroom featuring both a bath and a shower and some toiletries, a double wardrobe, a dresser, a bench, a balcony big enough to comfortably accommodate a table and two chairs, and a four poster bed.The view from our balcony was the best bit; we were looking over the pool, the pointed roofs of traditionally styled buildings, palm trees and distant hills. While it's on a pretty busy road, the sights, sounds and smells from this part of the hotel are all enjoyable.Being in amongst it all is so handy; you can walk in just minutes to some great restaurants like Apirom, Green Pepper, Thai Food Sawasdee and Baan Thai (which are all so well priced), there are 7-11s, and plenty of other shops. A further walk will take you to the beachfront shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as tour operators. The beach here is long and clean but probably not the best for swimming, as the longtails are in and out all day.Breakfast at Apasari is good; we found getting down to the restaurant around 8:30am allows you a peaceful breakfast, overlooking the pool, with plenty of choice from the buffet - lots of fruit, pastry, yoghurt, cereal, meat, eggs and drink options. There is a happy hour but we didn't use this, as we had drinks with our meals out at the aforementioned places. The pool area is quite small and basic but we preferred that for our holiday as a couple. It was pretty busy from after breakfast through to early evening but we never struggled to get a lounger when we wanted them and the water was clean and warm.We stayed at Apasari for a week and had a great time. So many places are within walking distance - the beach (and Nopparat Thara Beach is definitely worth the extra distance as it's quiet and you can find an abundance of beautiful seashells to photograph), shops and restaurants, the Monkey Trail with a gorgeous viewpoint over to Railay, etc, Blue Mountain Market, Landmark Night Market and Ao Nang Walking Street. While we didn't need the reception staff much and we didn't ever bump into the maids (but they clearly visited every day, we were just so busy all the time!), I can confirm they are all lovely. Always polite and friendly. We left some bits and pieces in our room for the cleaning staff to enjoy, and handed some boxes of fudge to the reception staff to share between themselves and the hardworking kitchen staff, as a gift from our local area, something I do wherever we holiday. They accepted the present with their typical grace and, completely unexpectedly, then gave me a present in return! At the moment it's just being used for decoration, but I will be taking it on our next trip to Thailand, as it will come in very handy for our temple trips.Apasari is a lovely little hotel, which could quite easily be missed as you're passing through the busy street. Don't miss it though!!! Khob khun mahk ka to all the staff for your hospitality and a perfect stay in Krabi.

    Superb little hotel

    rating20 Feb 2026

Superb little hotel , spotlessly clean, clean towels every day, all staff appear to enjoy their roles. Plenty of water supplied , also few drinks in the fridge (you have to pay for) nice swimming pool but not that big, sun loungers could do with an upgrade, beware that they are metal and get extremely hot, enough to burn you ! The reception staff go way above their duty and will always help arrange transport/trips etc at great prices. Breakfast is ok , nice fresh fruits and egg station. It’s on a side road and has easy access to both beaches within walking distance along with all the shops and night market. I would definitely go back to Apasari 😎🇹🇭 I spent 3weeks here

Good location, walking distance from bars and restaurant's.Tiny pool, can't get a sun lounger after 9am.Not the best breakfast but there is something for everyone. The first thing that struck me in the room was a price list for everything that could be broken in the room, this is something that I have never seen before.Ok over all but not the best.
