    Dont recommend

    rating24 Mar 2026

Stay: March 10–20, 2026I do not have good memories of my stay at this hotel. There was visible mold, rust, and general dirt in the bathroom. Both the room and the bathroom are in need of renovation. In the pool area, some tiles are damaged and coming loose. The room view was of a neighboring building, with no natural scenery. Additionally, there is a constant, loud sound of running water coming from the pool area. The decor (e.g., a picture of rainy London) does not match the rest of the interior at all.The bed linen was dirty despite being replaced by housekeeping.Plates at breakfast were also not properly cleaned, and the breakfast itself was monotonous. There were no towels available in the gym, and the towel provided for wiping equipment was dirty.I do not recommend this hotel – the standard definitely does not meet a 4-star rating.

    Enjoyed our Stay

    rating23 Mar 2026

We had 3 rooms and we were put together which was great we were in the new part on the 5th floor with lovely views of trees and hills. Room was big and clean ac worked good and also had a ceiling fan the bed was hard but we managed to sleep ok and had no issues. Staff were very nice. If you’re looking for a pool holiday it’s not the best if you want the sun as it’s down 1 side morning and the other in the afternoon and it does lose the sun early so if all the beds are taken you won’t be able to get the sun all day this was fine for us as we weren’t there all day as we ventured out. The hotel location is about 10-15 mins walk down to the beach from the hotel if you turn left when you get to the main street not sure how long if you turn right. Lots of shops bars and restaurants.

    Ok stay

    rating11 Mar 2026

The staff are very friendly here, great choice of breakfast, rooms are ok a little dated, but clean enough, the beds were a little uncomfortable and lastly the tv signal wasn’t great. Overall it’s ok it’s a budget hotel don’t expect too much.

    A good basic hotel

    rating07 Feb 2026

The rooms are clean, but the bathrooms are somewhat dated, especially in the Standard rooms. The King rooms are quite comfortable. Hot water is available as well, although you may need to wait a little. The location is excellent, close to services and events, and you can rent a scooter just a few steps away. The pool area is somewhat shaded and does not get much sun. Noise level could use some improvements. A good option for affordable accommodation.

    Filthy and disgusting

    rating07 Jan 2026

The GLOW Ao Nang hotel is not deserving of its 4* rating. When we booked this hotel, it was after having travelled around Phuket so we’re ready for some ‘luxury’ in a hotel. We decided to choose a superior room to treat ourselves however when we checked in, we were led to a basement room with no balcony, which was filthy and things were falling apart in the room. We decided to let reception know, who offered to move us to a balconied room on the 3rd floor - only accessible via 3 flights of spiralling narrow stairs which we had to carry our suitcases up. Whilst this room at least had a balcony and was a lovely sized room, it was also filthy and dirty. The floors can only be likened to a nightclub dance floor - so dirty your shoes stick to it. We didn’t take our shoes off the whole time when in the room, even wearing flip flops to shower in as the shower floor was covered in grime and other people’s hair. The walls were dented and scratched, wardrobe doors broken off and the shower head so caked in filth and limescale that most of the shower nozzles/jets were blocked meaning there was not enough water that could come out to wash your hair with. There was no hot water and we had no choice but to wash our hair using cups in the sink. As for the communal areas, it was also dirty, the swimming pool gets no sun at all during the day and after judging the cleanliness of the hotel rooms, chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel as if they thought the room cleanliness was up to scratch then I would hate to see what their idea of food hygiene is. The balcony doors had no lock on, which felt extremely unsafe because there was a fire escape ladder connecting all of the balconies together - meaning anyone could climb up the ladder from by the swimming pool and onto your balcony and into your room at any point during the day or night. The only positives of the hotel is that the beds were the comfiest of any that we have experienced in Thailand so far, however the bedsheets were dirty and had hair in them so we barely managed to sleep due to feeling unclean. It is also in a good location.Thankfully we only booked for 3 nights at this accommodation and we couldn’t wait to leave.
