Location

The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean Sea. This resort captures the spirit of the desert on an unspoilt seashore. Zarzis Airport is situated some 20 km away.

Facility

The holiday village has 259 rooms, including 11 junior suites and 10 suites, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities available at the complex include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a childcare service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hairdresser. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service. Bicycle storage is also available.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe and a minibar are also available. For guests' convenience, units include a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

The pool area, which includes indoor pools as well as outdoor pools, is the perfect to relax after a full and active day. There are also 3 pools just for kids. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The complex offers outdoor sports, including tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball and archery or, for a fee, cycling/mountain biking. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as snorkelling, water aerobics and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy water skiing, windsurfing, jet skiing, paddle boating, banana boat rides, sailing and catamaraning. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example table tennis, darts, callisthenics and aerobics or, for a fee, a gym and billiards. A range of wellness facilities, such as a spa, a hammam, thalassotherapy treatments and anti-ageing treatments, are offered at the holiday village. For a fee, guests can also take advantage of a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include a kids' club, a kids' disco and a dance club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant (with high chairs), a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. For lunch and dinner, guests can order à la carte. Diet meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. The complex also offers special catering options. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Second visit to this lovely hotel

    This is our second time to this lovely hotel. Very little has changed, the staff are just as helpful and friendly and the facilities fulfill our needs. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and thankfully does not have disco music playing all day long. The pool and pool area is an inviting spacious area as there are no slides or noisy children running around. The beach is to the side of the hotel and there are plenty of beds and umbrellas and a beach bar. The sea is aqua blue and warm and we spent a lot of time in the sea on our lilos. A special thank you to our lovely housekeeper Olfa Chnaina who kept our room immaculate and always had a smile and a ‘good morning’. Another thank you to Nassim Amor for the wonderful attentive, professional service we received dining outside on the terrace. He is fairly new but a great advocate for the hotel.     Wonderful Relaxing Stay

    We had a wonderful relaxing stay in a swim up room. Room was spacious and clean , if a little tired, and our housekeeping lady was exceptional. Pool was super clean and regularly maintained but a bit too cold to swim in May! Disappointed there was no mini bar and it was quite a hike to the bar for drinks but we coped 😂Staff were all very helpful and friendly but with the majority of guests being German or French, English was limited and at times a little difficult to communicate. This didn’t have any negative effect on our stay though. I’d agree it’s not 5 * but nevertheless a very nice, clean hotel.     After reading some of the reviews in early April was really concerned about this hotel having not been to Djerba for a few years we normally travel to main land Tunisia we arrived earlier in the morning was met at reception by a brilliant lady who could not do enough we had a choice of two rooms and picked 235 we had 10 days of the best food and drink you could ask for if it be a cocktail or having too many rum and cola 🤣 the food choice is amazing we we're there as l say for 10 nights and never got fed up with the food l have to say from the amazing ladies cleaning our room to all the catering staff a massive thank you and see you next year ❤️ direction Ulysse, Service clients/Réception at Ulysse Djerba Thalasso & Spa, responded to this review Thank you so much for your wonderful review.We are delighted to know you enjoyed your stay, the food, drinks, and the warm service from our team.     Good service, excellent cuisine, clean rooms, and a wonderful SPA.We booked this vacation mainly as a beach holiday. During the first few days, there was a strong wind, making it impossible to relax by the sea. Three days after the wind calmed down, the neighboring hotels had already cleaned their beaches. However, at this hotel there is not enough space on the beach for guests — you need to reserve a sunbed before breakfast just to enjoy the smell of rotting seaweed piled up on the beach and blocking access to the water.Despite positioning itself as a beachfront hotel, the hotel management does not consider it necessary to take care of cleaning the beach. direction Ulysse, Service clients/Réception at Ulysse Djerba Thalasso & Spa, responded to this review Thank you for your feedback.     We had a wonderful stay at Ulysse Thalasso Hotel in Djerba. From the very first minute we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and very well taken care of by the entire hotel staff.Our room had a beautiful sea view, which made the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. The atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and perfect for anyone looking to relax close to the sea.The service was excellent throughout our stay, especially thanks to Mr. Braihm, who was extremely professional, kind and attentive during breakfast and lunch. We would also like to sincerely thank Mr. Chiheb for the special service during dinner and for always preparing a beautifully decorated table for us, which made every evening feel special. A big thank you as well to Mr. Zied for the amazing special drinks he prepared for us.The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, with a great variety of fresh dishes every day and the drinks were excellent.Even though we stayed only 3 days, we truly wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy a calm, comfortable and high-quality holiday in Djerba.
