    We spent 1 week here for some time ago and it was an awful experience. Bad behavior towards women by staff without any consequences. There is nothing wrong with the facilities though but that is just not enough. I did not feel safe in this city and would definitely not walk around by myself

    Nice holiday hotel near the beach and city centre. Places of historic interest within walking distance. If you want a room with a sea view try and book one on the right hand side, the view on the other side is blocked by a huge construction site. The workers there make a hell of a noise in the mornings, so good for early birds. Bathroom is okay (but for two days no warm water in the shower). The breakfast buffet is modest but sufficient (no muesli, ony industrial cereals, no orange juice during the whole week I spent there). The days in this hotel were the coldest I ever experienced as there is no heating, and the management did not allow the warm air condition to be turned on (not before December they said).

    We meet here in hotel with group of friends Great wee place and amazing team.Worth to came and visit We see that is great also for family with kids..Close to beach and amazing entertainment team.You find here everything you need.Also close to Monastir shops

    Nice but could do with a touch up

    The first thing you notice on entering the hotel is the small of smoke. Coming from the UK where smoking isn’t allowed indoors, the smell was pungent....this is throughout the hotel - and pretty much anywhere in Monastir. My room was plenty big enough. Shower was hot (but did go cold at peak times). Rooms were cleaned daily with clean towels. Room a bit dated but it’s a place to sleep, nothing else. Fridge didn’t work. Breakfast was ok...hours 6-10 although if you went early the egg person wasn’t there. Plenty of sun loungers but it was a quiet time - I got told on one day there were only 10 guests. Pool water looked cloudy on my first day - cdnt see dolphins in the tiled floor but it was fine everyday thereafter. Wifi worked fine in room, a bit flaky around by the pool. There was a pool snack bar but food options limited - just pizza or fries...a sandwich or salad would have been good additions to the choice. Staff - all pleasant enough. You may read in another review - this is definitely more of a local hotel....not many Europeans but for me it added to the experience. Location is great - minutes from the beach, tourist bits and 10-15 min walk to the marina. All in all for the price, this was a good place to stay, just feels a bit dated and could do with a bit of modernising.

    A relaxing stay in an established hotel with traditional features

    This is not a "Brits-abroad" hotel, rather an opportunity to sample local culture. The hotel could benefit from updating here and there but was clean and very well serviced and managed. Location is good, with the shores of the Mediterranean, local marts, coffee shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walk - Monastir is traditional and has an 'old-world' feel.Our room was of decent size. The mattresses looked new and were not too soft and not too firm. Bed linen was spotless. Air conditioning was free and effective - welcome when the outside temperature was touching 40 degrees. Wi-Fi was also free and very good in our room and also in reception.We had a 7 night stay with breakfast which was available daily from 6am to 10am. There was plenty on offer with juices and tea/coffee through French breakfast pastries, cereal, scrambled eggs etc. as well as a range of local offerings which are worth trying.Other hotel facilities included a bar, outside snack bar and restaurant and a child and main pool, both of which were cleaned to a very high standard every morning.Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful which made check in and out easy with support always available for matters arising with transfers etc. Currency exchange was very easy at the hotel and those little accents which make you feel good about service were there too - I had forgotten to take a mains converter plug with me and was readily given one on free loan for the duration of the stay - a small gesture which was invaluable.
