  Great family vacation, not for the gumbet crowd

  I, too, own a place at didim golden villas. Villas are large, furnished well, well positioned above the small bay. It is an excellent place if you are vacationing as a family. There are two pools and you can stroll down to the beach. Unless you rent a car, you plan to cook your own meals. Advise to all vacationers: please apply the same rules to your kids as if you were home.dont let them lose to behave badly. You wouldn't allow it at your own neighborhood why should you at ours? And those adults who think vacationing equals to boozing up, stay in downtown. Those who get drunk and Screaming, yelling, cursing or behaving like bloody idiots should not chose Golden Villas. And those who cannot use the public transport or cannot afford Taxies, should consider downtown too.

  Good but not brilliant

  Had a two week holiday here at the end of August the weather was fantastic ... The location is awful miles from anywhere thank god we hired a car don't rent here without one it will ruin you holiday it's so far away.. The beach was filthy on the shoreline although very clean once past that.. The complex is very dated as are the villas, there is only one pool in use so really busy.The villa we stayed on was ok and close to the bar and pool but the quality wasn't what was being promised the mattresses where of poor quality the furniture was damaged and the whole place felt tired.. The only good thing was free Wifi for the kids iPads etc. The owners on site weren't great either they moaned to the people renting that the sunbeds were taken and made you feel very unwelcome they.. One lady was horrid to nearly everyone made it clear she paid the rates so she should have first pick of everything.. I'm sure the person we rented from also paid!!! Despite all this is was ok the kids enjoyed and I would go back but not back to this complex..

  Stunning, villa, relaxed holiday.

  For a family of 4 (kids 7and 9) this was the perfect hol. We were lucky enough to have a huge, modern, clean villa right opposite the pool with Artemis travel. Huge rooms. Stunning kitchen. Brilliant aircon. We hired a car which makes altinkum 7 minutes drive but we used the bus some days. Every 2 hours from 9-11. Takes about 20 mins to town. We live in London so we don't want the chaos of a big city. It's nice to have peace a bit further out. There is a mix of holiday makers and residents there but we were made to feel very welcome and the kids made some great friends. It's such a safe gated complex we hardly saw them they were always playing and swimming with other kids. The beach is perfect for younger children. Calm, shallow, crystal clear and warm like a bath. The little bar/cafe and shop are really handy and reasonably priced. When you do go into the town, altinkum and the promenade is a buzzing hive of restaurants, bars and shops.something for everyone! . Def going back next year.

  Do not think that this is a HOTEL.. because its not

  I own a villa in this site and I hate to see people come here thinking that this is a hotel because its not. Its beautiful place but renters are making this place horrible. They don't obey the rules for pool, parents don't take care of their kids, they scream all over till late night. SOme people come late night drunk and scream, yell etc, etc. We want to live here in peace. If you are looking for a resort or hotel, this is not for you.

  Excelent for my family including 2 children.It's in the midlle of nowhere as I seen other reviews but if you have a car it's fine.There is only a 15 minutes ride from town,beaches,restaurants and other atractions.The pool is ok,there is a smaller one for kids,there is a bar near the pool.Being so isolated it is so quiet and I liked that very much.The villa is very big,the rooms are all big and clean,the kitchen is well equiped,there's a litlle balcony on the first floor when you can enjoy the sunset near a Efes pilsner.There's also a tennis and football court for who enjoys sports.
