  My wife and I spent 4 nights at Albergo Firenze the hotel is in a great position about 15 minutes walk from the train station and in the middle of the old town with plenty to see and all within walking distance.The hotel was clean the staff were very friendly and helpful with plenty of places to eat all around we would definitely stay again.   We had a wonderful experience with Albergo Firenze. The staff was amazing and our room on the top floor over the courtyard was lovely. Perfect location a short walk to the lake.   Pleasantly surprised, overall very happy with the property.

  Overall, better than expected! I was a bit nervous after reading some reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We booked I think it was called a deluxe triple room and requested a quiet room, stayed 2 nights. Our room had 2 separate doubles in a typical side by side hotel room arrangement. Room size was a bit small but this is an old building and to be expected. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very large. Check in: very smooth, we took advantage of luggage storage as we arrived around noon, storage is a separate locked room. Check out was very smooth as well, we ordered a taxi from reception the night before to get us to the airport (40 euros including an extra charge to drop off our daughter at the train station on the way). We were on the 3rd floor (so 4th floor for us Canadians) and the elevator is very small, like so many Euro elevators in old buildings. 3 of us with our rolly bags and it was jammed. It always worked though. Location: AMAZING! Literally 2 blocks from the duomo with a gelato shop on the way!How to get there: we came from the airport so: T2 tram is 100' from the airport and I think was under 2euros and 20 min. to the train station. We then got on the C2 bus (very small and was JAM PACKED, literally, with people). We got off 1 stop early as a lady in the back had to get off and we all had to get off to let her out and we really weren't that far anyways. Maybe 6-7 min walk from where we got off. It was further to get to the C2 stop to return to the train station (route is a loop) so we taxi'd.Reception: we saw and spoke with 3 different people and they were all great.A/C worked well and not overly noisy. The room was quite quiet from outside noise.I'll repeat myself, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and I'd stay here again without hesitation. It isn't 5* but it is certainly provided what we needed and at 155 euros/night I feel very good value especially considering its location right by the duomo and so many other Florence attractions.   Very good location and very good service. They should upgrade to card-operated doors or a better system for opening and closing them, as well as letting cleaners know when they can clean the rooms (we did this by telling them directly).   Excellent hotel. Great location, perfect size room kept spotless by the staff. Welcoming atmosphere by every member of staff I met.You couldn't ask for a better place to rest your head in the beautiful city. I hope the hotel remains for many years, so I can return.
