    A fabulous holiday

    rating14 Sept 2025

Fabulous holiday. The accommodation is basic and a little dated but we knew that so no issues there. There is air conditioning and a safe included in the price. There are steps to the apartments which may be an issue if your mobility is limited and as you come out of the apartments to the left is a gentle hill down to the sea and to the right a more steep hill down to the village connected by a straight flat walk where you will find a supermarket, cafes and tavernas, a nice loop.A beautiful pool area with loungers, a lovely bar serving drinks, cocktails, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar is run by Kostas and Ioanna and is separate from the apartments. They were lovely and super helpful. We arrived at 2 am and keys were left for us stuck to the reception door with a map! No issue really. We were not flying home until midnight and could not get a late checkout but we checked out at 11 am, enjoyed the pool until 5 pm then used the shower facilities and enjoyed drinks and food at the bar until our pick up, very relaxed. There is a nice restaurant opposite the apartments if you don't want to walk down to the village or eat in Apheas. There are plenty of tavernas down by the beach and harbour. This was an "extra" holiday for us this year on a budget and turned out to be one of the nicest holidays we have had. Beautiful weather, a quiet resort, lovely food and drink.Just two criticisms and these are absolutely nothing to do with the accommodation and that is it is a 2 hour transfer from the airport and the flights all seem to be very late at night.

    What a gem.

What a lovely gem of a hotel, great views over the sea, lovely pool/bar area, super friendly staff, great room with air con & room safe included. Ten minute stroll from a lovely beach & a handful of tavernas along the beach, ten minutes stroll from the village centre with a super market for all your provisions, a bakery and a few more tavernas & a couple of grill bars. We will definitely be returning.

    Perfect

    rating28 May 2025

Just spent a week at Aphea and what a lovely week we had , yes the rooms need a little updating but we knew what we were getting from the photos before we came . Perfect location with the beach just down the hill and many restaurants along the beach side . Hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful nothing was too much trouble , we only had to ask once ( ie- for a kettle and extra bedding) and it was sorted straight away . Rooms were cleaned everyday with new towels and bedding except Sundays but they still emptied our bins and if you asked them they would get new towels or bedding for you , The pool bar run by kostas and loanna was amazing , can’t thank them enough for their service and how they make everyone soo welcome , once again nothing was too much trouble and certainly know how to look after there customers , they do the best cocktails and reasonably priced too and the food was lovely with homemade food everyday . Will definitely visit again x

    A gem

    rating09 Oct 2024

Lovely hotel with fabulous sea views. 3 of us self catering supposedly for 7 days but ended up splitting our week between here and another hotel(review seperate)as Aphea were closing for winter. We had a two room family apartment on a lower level, thankfully, as hotel on many levels with lots of stairs. The downstairs had one twin bedroom and a strange under the stairs shower and toilet which was incredibly cramped. I can honestly say showering whilst sat on the loo is not easy. No where to hang towels or clothes and water snook under the door into the kitchen. We ate breakfasts at the pool cafe/bar as the kitchen didn't have much storage space to put food. Cafe was excellent just basic cooked breakfast or toasties, omellette, or yoghurt. The pool is great good size and nice sun loungers. The upstairs bedroom had a smaller balcony than the downstairs bedroom but had a much larger bathroom. Lounge had a sofa that could double as a single bed. New TV but only english channel bbc news, sadly no film channel english or subtitled and no children's programmes. Beds were lovely and comfortable and bedding was of nice quality. No mirrors in bedroom? Good value for money hotel but if you can't walk up a hill and haven't a hire car probably not for you as its only a short walk to beach/town but walking back ups a challenge. Lovely taverna across the road with a great menu and lovely roof top dining with sea views.

    Lovely views and very relaxing

    rating07 Oct 2024

One of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Our room had a stunning view of the bay and was very quiet and spotless. Everyone was very friendly and the whole 2 weeks was relaxing and comfortable. The fridge, air conditioning and safe we're all included in the price. A really lovely place to stay with Ioanna and Kostas giving an excellent service around the pool. This hotel is not for the unsteady or if you have difficulty in climbing steps or the short hill to the hotel.
